Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

5 terms
continuing operations financial
"preliminary unaudited revenue from continuing operations"
Continuing operations are the parts of a company's business that it expects to keep running into the future, excluding divisions or activities it has sold, closed, or classified as discontinued. Investors watch continuing operations because they show the company’s core ability to generate revenue and profit over time — like evaluating the healthy, ongoing crops on a farm rather than one-off harvests from fields you've already sold.
discontinued operation financial
"which is reported as a discontinued operation"
A discontinued operation is a part of a company that has been sold, closed, or is planned to be shut down, and will no longer be part of its ongoing business activities. For investors, it matters because it can significantly affect a company's financial results and future outlook, similar to removing a large, ongoing project from a company's operations. Recognizing discontinued operations helps investors better understand a company's current performance separate from parts that are no longer active.
unaudited financial
"preliminary unaudited revenue"
"Unaudited" describes financial statements or reports that have not been examined or verified by an independent accountant or auditor. Because they haven't undergone this review, they may not be as reliable or accurate as audited reports, making them less certain for investors to rely on when assessing a company's financial health. Think of it as a preliminary estimate that could change once checked by an expert.
epigenomic medical
"proprietary genomic, epigenomic, exosomal and other molecular technologies"
The epigenomic describes the pattern of chemical tags and markers across a cell’s DNA that control which genes are turned on or off, like sticky notes on a recipe book guiding what gets cooked. For investors, epigenomic changes are important because they can reveal new drug targets, diagnostics, or ways to predict and treat disease, affecting a biotech’s product pipeline, regulatory path, and long-term market value.
exosomal medical
"proprietary genomic, epigenomic, exosomal and other molecular technologies"
Describing something derived from or related to exosomes — tiny packets cells naturally release to send signals and carry molecules like proteins, RNA or lipids to other cells. For investors, “exosomal” flags technologies or products that use these biological packets for diagnostics, drug delivery or disease monitoring, which can promise more precise tests or therapies but also face scientific, manufacturing and regulatory hurdles. Think of exosomes as biological mail carriers and “exosomal” as anything that uses or studies that mail.

IRVINE, CA – October 15, 2026 (GlobeNewswire) – MDxHealth SA (NASDAQ: MDXH) (the "Company" or "mdxhealth"), a leader in urology-focused precision diagnostics, today announced preliminary unaudited revenue from continuing operations for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026, and suspends its full-year 2026 revenue guidance of $110–115 million.

The Company expects to report third quarter 2026 revenue from continuing operations of approximately $22.7 million, compared to $22.7 million in the third quarter of 2025 (re-presented to exclude Resolve mdx, which is reported as a discontinued operation). Third quarter tissue-based (Confirm mdx and GPS mdx) test volume was 11,232, a decrease of 11% from the prior-year period. Third quarter liquid-based (Exo mdx) test volume was 11,792 compared to 4,600 in the prior-year period, which included Select mdx and Exo mdx from its September 2025 acquisition. Cash and cash equivalents were approximately $31.7 million as of September 30, 2026.

Michael K. McGarrity, CEO of mdxhealth, commented: “Third quarter revenue fell short of our expectations. Following the discontinuation of Resolve mdx, we experienced unexpected turnover within our sales force catalyzed by aggressive targeting from recruiters. While we have a disciplined process which has served as the foundation of our forecast accuracy over the past three years, that process was clearly disrupted by this recent impact on our sales force.

“Although this led to an interruption in the progress we reported in Q2, we are focused on fortifying impacted territories and returning to consistent execution. Importantly, we do not believe these factors represent a change in the reputation that we have built with our customer base, the underlying clinical demand for our products, or our long-term market opportunity, and we expect to return to growth within these end markets. We will provide additional detail on our corrective actions and progress when we report our full third quarter results and host our earnings call on November 12.”

The preliminary financial information in this press release is unaudited, is based on management’s initial review of the Company’s results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, and is subject to change upon completion of the Company’s quarter-end financial close and review procedures. The Company’s independent registered public accounting firm has not audited, reviewed or performed any procedures with respect to this preliminary financial information. Actual results may differ materially from these preliminary estimates.
