Northern Trust Asset Management Names Head of Product Strategy

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), a leading global investment management firm with $1.2 trillion in assets under management as of June 30, 2024, announced today that Xiangrong (Sharon) Jin, Ph.D has joined as Head of Product Strategy.

Jin will lead NTAM’s global product strategy organization with a focus on driving innovation, achieving scalable growth, and designing client-centric solutions. In this role, she will lead product strategy across all asset classes, investment strategies, vehicles, and geographies, as well as partner with NTAM’s investment and distribution teams to enhance product development and commercialization. Jin reports to NTAM Global Head of Product Paula Kar.

Jin is an accomplished investment professional with nearly 20 years of asset management experience. Most recently, Jin spent 15 years with Goldman Sachs Asset Management in senior leadership roles in portfolio strategy and client portfolio management. Earlier in her career, Jin was a portfolio manager for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Jin holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, a master’s degree in international finance from Fudan University in China, and a bachelor’s degree in quantitative finance from Nanjing University in China.
