CARTERVILLE, Mo. & WEBB CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Optimum today announced that customers in Carterville and Webb City will soon access the company’s fastest internet speeds ever, with fiber internet plans offering symmetrical speeds of up to 8 Gbps.

Customers will enjoy equally fast upload and download speeds, making it easier to stream, game, work from home, connect smart devices, share large files and keep everyone connected – even when multiple people are online. Built for today’s connected lifestyles, Optimum’s fiber network delivers the speed, reliability and capacity customers need now and for whatever comes next.

Businesses in Carterville and Webb City can also take advantage of Optimum’s multi-gig fiber speeds to support cloud applications, video conferencing, file sharing, and other essential business activities.

Additionally, as part of its continued commitment to the Webb City community, Optimum is donating $20,000 to Webb City High School’s Athletics Program. The contribution will help support the school’s student athletes by providing anything from new equipment and uniforms to funding improvements to the stadium.
