Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Key Terms

5 terms
net investment income financial
"Third quarter GAAP net investment income ("NII") per share of $0.29"
Net investment income is the money an investor or fund actually keeps from its investments after subtracting the costs of running those investments (like management fees, interest, and losses). Think of it as your paycheck from owning assets: gross returns minus the bills needed to earn them. Investors watch it because it shows how profitable the investment activities are, influences dividend payouts and cash available for growth, and helps compare true performance across funds or companies.
net asset value financial
"Net asset value ("NAV") per share increased to $16.62"
Net asset value is the total value of an investment fund's assets minus any liabilities, divided by the number of shares or units outstanding. It represents the per-share worth of the fund, similar to how the value of a house is determined by its total worth after debts are subtracted. Investors use it to gauge the true value of their holdings and to compare different investment options.
View in glossary
non-accrual financial
"Investments on non-accrual represented 1.8% and 1.1% of the portfolio"
A non-accrual loan or asset is one for which a lender has stopped counting expected interest as income because the borrower is very late on payments or in serious financial trouble. For investors, non-accruals signal that future cash from interest is uncertain and that the lender may need to write down the loan’s value or set aside extra reserves, similar to a landlord who stops recording rent when a tenant stops paying.
unitranche loans financial
"57%, 56% and 58% of first-lien senior secured debt investments to be unitranche loans"
Unitranche loans combine what would normally be two layers of lending — one that gets paid first and one that is paid later — into a single loan with one interest rate and one set of documents. Think of it as putting a mortgage and a second loan into one envelope: it simplifies and speeds up borrowing while usually carrying a higher interest rate to compensate for added risk. Investors care because unitranche debt changes the balance of risk and return, recovery prospects if a borrower defaults, and how easily the debt can be traded or refinanced.
sofr financial
"or 3-month SOFR, which was 4.08%, 3.73%, 3.98%"
The Secured Overnight Financing Rate (SOFR) is a market benchmark that measures the cost of borrowing cash overnight using U.S. Treasury securities as collateral. Investors watch SOFR because it acts like a speedometer for short-term interest costs—affecting loan rates, bond yields and the pricing of interest-rate contracts—so movements change borrowing expenses, cash returns and the value of interest-sensitive investments.

NEW YORK, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Owl Technology Finance Corp. (NYSE: OTF) ("OTF" or the "Company") today announced financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

THIRD QUARTER 2026 HIGHLIGHTS

  • Third quarter adjusted NII per share(1) of $0.29, as compared to the prior quarter of $0.30
  • Dividends totaled $0.40 per share, including a base dividend of $0.35 per share and a special dividend of $0.05 per share that was declared in connection with the listing, representing an annualized dividend yield of 9.6%(2)
  • All special dividends declared in connection with OTF's listing last June have now been paid
  • Net asset value ("NAV") per share increased to $16.62, as compared to $16.48 as of June 30, 2026
  • New investment commitments were $441 million and sales and repayments were $334 million
  • Net debt-to-equity ended at 0.94x, as compared with 0.93x as of June 30, 2026
  • Investments on non-accrual represented 1.8% and 1.1% of the portfolio at cost and fair value, respectively, as compared to 0.6% and 0.1% as of June 30, 2026
  • Repurchased $55 million of common stock during the quarter, which was accretive to third quarter NAV per share
  • Raised $900 million of new debt capital, including $550 million of senior unsecured notes, $250 million through a new SPV facility, and $100 million by upsizing an existing bilateral SPV

"OTF delivered a strong third quarter, with steady earnings and a rebound in NAV driving an 11.7% net income ROE," said Craig W. Packer, Chief Executive Officer. "We continue to see improving market sentiment toward software and technology as investors take a more balanced view of the potential impacts of AI. This market recovery, together with continued health of our borrowers and accretive share repurchases, contributed to a 0.9% increase in NAV per share."

"Investment opportunities across software and technology have become increasingly attractive, with wider spreads creating more favorable economics for lenders," said Erik Bissonnette, President. "With approximately $2.9 billion of liquidity and leverage at the low end of our target range, OTF has significant capacity to selectively deploy capital at attractive terms. We also expect higher base rates to provide an additional earnings tailwind as our floating rate loans reset, supporting ROE expansion over time."

Dividend Declarations
On November 3, 2026, the Board declared a fourth quarter 2026 base dividend of $0.35 per share for stockholders of record as of December 31, 2026, payable on or before January 15, 2027.

RESULTS OF OPERATIONS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2026

Investment Income
Investment income modestly increased to $341 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026 from $338 million for the three months ended June 30, 2026, primarily reflecting modestly higher average leverage during the quarter. Other income remained relatively consistent period-over-period. The Company expects that investment income will vary based on a variety of factors including the pace of originations and repayments, spreads of new deployments, and base rate movements.

Expenses
Total operating expenses increased to $209 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026 from $199 million for the three months ended June 30, 2026, primarily due to  increased average daily borrowings. As a percentage of total assets, professional fees, directors' fees and other general and administrative expenses remained relatively consistent period-over-period.

Liquidity and Capital Resources

As of September 30, 2026, the Company had $221 million in cash, $7.3 billion in total principal value of debt outstanding, including $3.2 billion of unsecured notes and $2.6 billion of undrawn capacity(1) on the Company's credit facilities. The funding mix was composed of 56.7% secured and 43.3% unsecured borrowings as of September 30, 2026 on an outstanding basis. The Company was in compliance with all financial covenants under its credit facilities as of September 30, 2026. The Company has analyzed cash and cash equivalents, availability under its credit facilities, the ability to rotate out of certain assets and amounts of unfunded commitments that could be drawn and believes its liquidity and capital resources are sufficient to take advantage of market opportunities.
