Key Terms

agentic AI technical
Agentic AI refers to computer systems that can make their own decisions and take actions without needing someone to tell them what to do each time. It's like giving a robot a degree of independence to solve problems or achieve goals on its own, which matters because it could change how we work and interact with technology in everyday life.
ERP technical
ERP, or Enterprise Resource Planning, is a comprehensive software system that helps organizations manage and integrate core business processes such as finance, supply chain, and human resources in one unified platform. For investors, ERP systems can indicate how efficiently a company operates; strong and well-integrated systems often suggest good management and potential for sustainable growth.
RFIs technical
RFIs (Requests for Information) are formal inquiries sent by regulators, investors, or counterparties asking a company to provide specific documents, data, or explanations about its operations, filings, or proposals. They matter to investors because RFIs can signal closer scrutiny or missing information—like a landlord asking to see repair records before renting—which may lead to delays, additional disclosures, or changes in valuation as more facts come to light.
cloud storage systems technical
Cloud storage systems are services that keep a company's data on remote servers accessed over the internet instead of on local computers, like renting a secure off-site filing cabinet that can be opened from anywhere. Investors care because cloud choices affect costs, scalability, security risk and whether a business earns steady subscription income—factors that influence operating expenses, growth potential, customer trust and a company’s valuation.

Acquisition strengthens agentic AI solutions with advanced reasoning and data connectivity capabilities

CARPINTERIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Procore Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: PCOR), the leading global provider of construction management software, today announced it has acquired Datagrid, uniting two of the most powerful AI solutions in the built world. This acquisition will accelerate Procore’s AI strategy and deliver enhanced data connectivity for customers. As a leading vertical AI solution in the industry, Datagrid immediately extends Procore's reach across the full construction ecosystem. Through this acquisition, Procore will help customers eliminate data silos and automate complex workflows including autonomously managing submittal reviews and drafting RFIs across platforms with greater speed and efficiency.

As a leader in construction technology, Procore is well positioned to guide the industry through the rapidly evolving AI transformation. The acquisition of Datagrid advances the long-term AI strategy Procore introduced at Groundbreak, its flagship annual event. By providing connectivity to third-party data sources, such as ERP and cloud storage systems, this technology will enable Procore to turn fragmented data into a powerful system of intelligence.

"The combination of Datagrid and Procore is transformative. Together, we’re providing one of the broadest AI portfolios in construction,” said Steve Davis, President of Product & Technology at Procore. “By integrating Datagrid’s AI and deep search capabilities, we will enable customers to bridge the gaps between siloed data and initiate actions across their entire ecosystem. This connectivity unlocks the true value of construction data, allowing our customers to innovate faster and focus on building the world around us."

Procore and Datagrid will offer products immediately available to both Procore and non-Procore customers. While core AI capabilities remain embedded in the Procore platform, the Datagrid offering will support customers with multiple data sources and advanced-reasoning use cases by unifying intelligence, automating intricate tasks, and surfacing critical insights across the complete technology stack.

“Modern work has outgrown human capacity for manual processing,” said Thiago da Costa, CEO of Datagrid, who will join Procore to lead AI and data strategy. “Our focus has always been on building an AI that can execute, not just talk. By joining Procore, we can now unlock unprecedented levels of productivity and quality for the thousands of customers who already build on its platform.”

This announcement, along with Procore’s other recent acquisitions, complements the company’s organic R&D investments to drive innovation and further its mission to improve the lives of everyone in construction.

Procore completed the acquisition of Datagrid in January 2026. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
