Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Automated ‘tip-and-cue’ prototype will connect continuous satellite monitoring directly to high-resolution tasking for emergency responders
Through this program, in partnership with software development company Lucis d.o.o., the SRN will autonomously analyze open Copernicus data and PlanetScope® imagery. When pre-set thresholds or anomalies are detected, the system will alert and trigger a high-resolution tasking request, including through Planet’s Pelican™ fleet. Processed imagery will populate directly into the emergency responder's map view within hours, providing rapid situational awareness for active crisis management.
“This contract reflects the strength of our long-standing collaboration with ESA and our shared commitment to translating Earth observation into operational, real-world impact,” said Diego Vanelli, Director of Government Sales in EMEA at Planet. “By combining open data infrastructure with high-frequency commercial imagery and tasking capabilities, we are creating a seamless, automated loop that bridges the gap between orbit and intervention.
While initially focused on demonstrating tip-and-cue workflows for wildfire management across
Planet, through its subsidiary Sinergise Solutions, has worked in collaboration with ESA for more than a decade, contributing to both Copernicus and the Third Party Missions programme.
