Parade Technologies Extends eDP-enabled Tcon-Embedded Driver(TED) Portfolio
New 2886-Channel TED targets lower cost, main-stream a-Si and Oxide TFT panels up to 3072×2160 resolution with two-chip MSO
TC3222 is compliant with the eDP 1.4b standard and supports Multi-SST Operation(MSO), Dynamic Refresh Rates, and more. The TC3222 is configurable to support all panel resolutions up to 2240×1440 using an 18 or 24-bit color format. Adding a second TC3222, in MSO mode, enables panel resolutions up to 3072x2160. With support for the proprietary video interface protocols offered by major CPU, GPU and SoC vendors, system implementation is straight-forward. The integrated source drivers support up to 2886 output channels with support for dual-gate and MUX2/MUX3 sub-pixel driving structures.
