Mr. Bunker will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of company’s federal, state, and local government strategy. Mr. Bunker will also play a leading role in strengthening Rocket Lab’s engagement with industry associations. The appointment comes as Rocket Lab expands its end-to-end ecosystem footprint with the acquisition of flight software company Advanced Solutions Inc in Colorado, and also narrows down potential locations for a new production facility and launch site for the reusable, medium-lift Neutron rocket.

Mr. Bunker brings more than a decade of experience in legislative affairs and space regulation to the Rocket Lab team. Prior to joining Rocket Lab, Mr. Bunker held the role of Director of Government Operations at United Launch Alliance (ULA). In this role, he was responsible for representing ULA before Congress on matters of importance to the company, including national security, civil, and commercial space. He also supported ULA’s engagement on regulatory matters before various federal agencies. Prior to working at ULA, Mr. Bunker worked for House Speaker John A. Boehner, where he served in a variety of positions supporting legislative efforts and operations on the House Floor. Mr. Bunker serves as the Marketing Chair of the Washington Space Business Roundtable and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University.

“Andrew is a seasoned leader with an impressive background in legislative affairs and strong bipartisan relationships across government and industry stakeholders,” said Rocket Lab Founder and CEO, Peter Beck. “He brings strong insight and vision to the Rocket Lab team at a pivotal time for the company as we look to expand our footprint with manufacturing facilities and a launch site for our Neutron launch vehicle, as well as our growing Space Systems teams in California, Colorado, and Toronto. We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to the team at Rocket Lab as we strengthen our position as a leading end-to-end space company.”

Mr. Bunker said, “Rocket Lab continues to make space more accessible to the world and as the company’s capabilities expand beyond small launch with Neutron, as well as into space systems, I am thrilled to join the team during this exciting time and look forward to supporting our customers' priorities.”
