The Supply and Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics award spotlights top software and technology solutions in the supply chain industry

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RXO (NYSE: RXO), a leading provider of asset-light transportation solutions, was named a winner of the 2024 Top Software & Tech award by Supply and Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics.

The award highlights RXO’s visual AI technology for gate check-in. Introduced in late 2023, the new AI-powered check-in system was implemented to streamline data collection as trucks arrive at warehouses and distribution centers. The technology automates the process of recording trailer numbers for appointments and matches those numbers to trucks when they arrive on site. These tasks were previously handled manually, and the visual AI technology has decreased wait times at the gate by 30 percent while reducing errors.

After observing the challenge, we implemented the visual AI technology to use machine learning computer vision and text recognition to process the video feed at the gatehouse and extract data almost instantly. Winners are categorized between small and enterprise businesses (<$50 million and >$49 million) as well as divided into subcategories: procurement/ERP software, robotics, supply chain visibility solutions, WMS / TMS and software and warehouse automation.
