SKF inaugurates magnetic bearing factory in Morocco to meet increased demand
SKF (SKFRY) has inaugurated a new factory in Tangier, Morocco, dedicated to manufacturing components for magnetic bearings and high-speed electric motors. The facility will initially employ around 60 people and aims to meet growing demand while strengthening SKF's global leadership in magnetic bearing solutions. The factory will produce modular and scalable products for applications in compressors, turbines, motors, HVAC systems, and semiconductors.
The strategic investment enhances SKF's supply chain by reducing lead times and improving customer delivery performance. The magnetic bearing technology enables contactless rotor levitation through controlled magnetic fields, offering superior performance, energy efficiency, and reliability compared to conventional solutions.
