traceability technical
Traceability is the ability to follow a product, component, or piece of data backward and forward through every step of its lifecycle, like reading a parcel’s tracking history to see where it came from and where it went. For investors, strong traceability lowers risk by making recalls, quality problems, and regulatory breaches easier and cheaper to manage, while boosting consumer trust, supply-chain efficiency, and the reliability of reported information.
ai-powered technical
"AI-powered" describes technology that uses artificial intelligence to perform tasks, make decisions, or analyze information automatically. It’s similar to having a highly skilled assistant that can learn from data, recognize patterns, and improve over time, helping to make processes faster and more accurate. For investors, this means better insights and more efficient operations, potentially leading to smarter investment choices.
touchless traceability technical
Touchless traceability is a way to track items, ingredients, or products through a supply chain using automated sensors, labels, or digital records so no human has to manually record movements. For investors, it matters because it lowers labor and error risks, speeds recalls or audits, and can improve regulatory compliance and customer trust—similar to following a package automatically with GPS instead of writing down each stop by hand.
fda regulatory
The FDA is the U.S. federal agency that evaluates and approves medical drugs, devices, biological therapies and certain foods; think of it as the gatekeeper that decides whether a medical product is safe and effective for patients. For investors, FDA decisions determine whether a company can sell a product, affect expected revenue and introduce regulatory risk, so approvals, rejections or safety warnings can quickly move a company's valuation and stock price.
warehouse management system technical
A warehouse management system is software that organizes and tracks the movement, storage and retrieval of products inside warehouses and distribution centers, like a digital traffic controller guiding goods to the right shelf and out the door. For investors, it matters because better systems reduce errors and labor costs, speed deliveries, and improve customer satisfaction—factors that directly affect a company’s profit margins, growth capacity and competitive position.
lot codes technical
Lot codes are unique identifiers assigned to a specific batch of manufactured goods—such as medicines, vaccines, or food—so officials and companies can trace when, where, and how those items were made. For investors, lot codes matter because they enable targeted recalls and quality investigations; a flagged lot can signal production or safety problems that may reduce sales, trigger regulatory fines, or damage a company's reputation, much like a serial number helps pinpoint a faulty batch of cars.
compliance regulatory
Compliance is the act of following rules, laws, and regulations set by authorities or organizations. It ensures that businesses operate legitimately and ethically, much like how a driver follows traffic laws to keep everyone safe. For investors, compliance matters because it helps ensure that companies are managing risks properly and maintaining trustworthy practices.

Vendors of nuts, olives, and healthy snacks accelerate adoption of AI-powered Touchless Traceability™

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ReposiTrak announced that additional snack food suppliers have joined the onboarding queue for the ReposiTrak Traceability Network® (“RTN”), continuing the rapid expansion of supplier-to-distribution center-to-store traceability across the food industry.

The newest suppliers entering the network provide a variety of snack and specialty food products, including nuts, olives, trail mixes, dried fruit snacks, and other healthy snack offerings. These companies are preparing to exchange FDA-required traceability data with retailers and wholesalers already operating live on the RTN.

ReposiTrak continues to lead the industry with its AI-powered Touchless Traceability™ capabilities, which automatically create traceability records inside distribution centers without requiring operationally disruptive case scanning. By linking supplier shipment data with existing warehouse management system (“WMS”) records, ReposiTrak enables scalable, high-volume traceability across complex food supply chains.

The platform also incorporates AI-powered data validation and automated error detection/correction technology designed to identify and resolve inaccurate lot codes, invalid product identifiers, quantity mismatches, and incomplete records before they create downstream compliance or recall exposure.

“Snack suppliers are moving aggressively to meet retailer and wholesaler expectations for live, production-ready traceability,” said Randy Fields, Chairman and CEO of ReposiTrak. “The industry is quickly recognizing that manual approaches and case scanning cannot scale efficiently. ReposiTrak’s AI-powered Touchless Traceability™ is proving that enterprise traceability can be automated accurately and cost-effectively.”

ReposiTrak continues onboarding suppliers across multiple food categories as retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers establish interoperable traceability operations capable of supporting rapidly evolving food safety and supply chain requirements.

The ReposiTrak Traceability Network enables suppliers to exchange traceability data using multiple file formats and connectivity methods, helping organizations of all technical capabilities participate efficiently in modern traceability programs.
