Mammoth Reports Third Quarter 2026 Operational and Financial Results
Mammoth expects adjusted EBITDA to grow more than 40% in 2027 as aviation leasing contributions expand.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Mammoth Energy Services (NASDAQ: TUSK) raised its full-year outlook as third-quarter revenue increased 95% year over year to $21.3 million. Revenue fell from $26.1 million in the second quarter. Continuing operations earned $0.3 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, versus losses in both comparison quarters. Adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP earnings measure, reached $5.8 million, versus negative $4.8 million a year earlier and $2.6 million sequentially; its margin reached 27.2%.
Mammoth expects 2026 revenue growth above 90% and now expects a mid-teens adjusted EBITDA margin. It expects 2027 adjusted EBITDA growth above 40%. Aviation assets expanded to 44, with 29 producing revenue at quarter-end. Quarterly capital spending totaled $41.8 million. Cash and marketable securities fell to $27.5 million by October 27 from $37.6 million at quarter-end. On October 28, Mammoth entered a secured term loan facility with commitments up to $58.0 million.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

MAMMOTH ENERGY SERVICES, INC. RECONCILIATION OF NON-GAAP FINANCIAL MEASURES |
|||||||||
|
|
|||||||||
|
Adjusted EBITDA from Continuing Operations
Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations is a supplemental non-GAAP financial measure that is used by management and external users of our financial statements, such as industry analysts, investors, lenders and rating agencies. We define Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations as net income (loss) from continuing operations before depreciation, depletion, amortization and accretion, gains on disposal of assets, net, impairment of long-lived assets, equity based compensation, stock based compensation, interest expense (income), net, (gain) loss on marketable securities, net, other (income) expense, net and provision for income taxes. We exclude the items listed above from net income (loss) from continuing operations in arriving at Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations because these amounts can vary substantially from company to company within our industries depending upon accounting methods and book values of assets, capital structures and the method by which the assets were acquired. Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations should not be considered as an alternative to, or more meaningful than, net income (loss) from continuing operations or cash flows from operating activities as determined in accordance with GAAP or as an indicator of our operating performance or liquidity. Certain items excluded from Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations are significant components in understanding and assessing a company's financial performance, such as a company's cost of capital and tax structure, as well as the historical costs of depreciable assets, none of which are components of Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations. Our computations of Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations may not be comparable to other similarly titled measures of other companies. We believe that Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations is a widely followed measure of operating performance and may also be used by investors to measure our ability to meet debt service requirements.
The following tables provide a reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations to net income (loss) from continuing operations, the most directly comparable GAAP financial measure for the specified periods (in thousands): |

FAQ
AI-generated questions and answers. How Rhea-AI works. Not financial advice.
What were Mammoth Energy Services' third-quarter 2026 earnings?
Mammoth's continuing operations earned $0.3 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2026. Continuing operations lost $12.6 million a year earlier and $1.2 million in the second quarter of 2026. Quarterly adjusted EBITDA was $5.8 million.
What is Mammoth Energy Services' updated 2026 and initial 2027 outlook?
Mammoth expects 2026 revenue growth above 90% and an adjusted EBITDA margin in the mid-teens, followed by adjusted EBITDA growth of more than 40% in 2027 compared with full-year 2026. This was its third increase to the full-year 2026 outlook.
Why did Mammoth's sand services revenue fall sequentially in the third quarter of 2026?
Sand services revenue fell sequentially because of a $3.0 million decline in freight revenue. Segment revenue was $5.2 million, compared with $8.0 million in the second quarter of 2026.
Can Mammoth reconcile its forward-looking adjusted EBITDA outlook to GAAP?
Mammoth cannot provide a reconciliation without unreasonable effort because necessary components are unavailable. These may include changes in marketable securities, gains or losses on asset dispositions, income taxes and other items that could materially affect GAAP results.
