Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Enables high-throughput assessment of thousands of antibodies per day to support AI/ML-driven discovery workflows

Turnaround time starting in as little as five days

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Twist Bioscience Corporation (NASDAQ: TWST), a mid-cap growth and value biotech company, today expanded its antibody production and characterization portfolio with the launch of Twist Express Screening Antibodies, a high-throughput cell-free offering that delivers purified full-length IgG with SPR binding characterization.

Twist Express Screening Antibodies accelerate the path from sequence to purified antibody and binding characterization across broad candidate sets. The workflow produces purified full-length IgG, or single-chain, enabling researchers to characterize candidates in the format intended for advancement, reducing the gap between early binding data and downstream development.

“As AI-guided drug discovery approaches dramatically expand the range of antibody candidates researchers can explore, the ability to turn that breadth into experimental data becomes critical,” said Emily M. Leproust, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder of Twist Bioscience. “Twist Express Screening Antibodies bring speed and scalability to early-stage characterization, enabling researchers to move broader candidate sets from sequence to data, iterate faster and focus downstream development resources on the antibodies with the greatest potential.”

Twist Express Screening Antibodies

Twist Express Screening Antibodies are produced using Twist’s high-throughput antibody production workflow, turning customer-defined variable region sequences into purified full-length IgG as well as scFv-Fc and VHH-Fc formats. The workflow incorporates cell-free protein expression powered by LenioBio’s ALiCE® eukaryotic expression system for the rapid production of full-length IgGs and recombinant proteins. Purified antibodies are available in quantities ranging from 5 μg to 20 μg and can be routed directly into SPR binding characterization. Turnaround time begins at five days.

Twist Express Screening Antibodies complement Twist’s broader antibody characterization portfolio, enabling researchers to rapidly assess broad candidate sets before advancing selected antibodies into Twist’s HEK293 or CHO expression and comprehensive characterization workflows. Key Terms

igg medical
IgG is a common type of antibody — a protein the immune system makes to recognize and neutralize viruses, bacteria and other foreign substances. For investors, IgG matters because measuring these antibodies underlies many diagnostic tests, vaccine responses and antibody therapies; like a security badge that shows who has been exposed or is protected, IgG results can drive demand for medical products and influence clinical and commercial decisions.
scfv-fc technical
A scFv-Fc is a laboratory-made fusion protein that joins a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) — the antibody-style binding unit formed by linking the antibody’s variable heavy and light domains with a short peptide — to an antibody Fc region (the constant tail). The scFv provides specific antigen binding in a compact, single-chain format while the Fc adds dimerization (making the molecule bivalent), extends circulation half-life through neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) interactions, can enable effector functions or be used for purification via Protein A, and can be modified to alter those properties; it is not a full-length antibody because it lacks the complete antibody constant regions and hinge unless those are specifically included.
vhh-fc technical
A VHH-Fc is a lab-made protein that combines a tiny, single-domain antibody fragment (VHH or “nanobody”) with the tail portion of a regular antibody (Fc). The VHH part acts like a focused key that sticks to a specific target, while the Fc tail extends how long the molecule stays in the body and can recruit the immune system; think of it as a compact tool with a built-in handle and longer battery life. For investors, VHH-Fc constructs signal a therapeutic approach that can offer easier manufacturing, potentially lower doses and longer-lasting effects compared with conventional antibodies, which affects development costs, dosing schedules and market potential.
cell-free protein expression technical
A laboratory method that makes proteins outside living cells by combining the biochemical machinery needed for protein synthesis—such as ribosomes, enzymes, nucleotides, and an energy source—with a DNA or RNA template in a test tube. It produces proteins more quickly and under controlled conditions than growing whole cells, but depending on the extract used it may not reproduce all cell-specific processing steps (for example some post‑translational modifications) unless the system is specifically engineered to provide them.
