Nine Mile Metals (OTC: VMSXF) completed drill hole DDH WD-25-01 at the Wedge Western Extension program on November 26, 2025 and is progressing on DDH WD-25-02. WD-25-01 intersected approximately 22.40 metres true width of massive copper-bearing VMS (Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag-Au) in Target Plate 1 and a second sulphide zone in Target Plate 2.

A total of 65 core sample sections were identified for base and precious metal assays (including antimony) to be analyzed by Actlabs Fredericton. Core has been logged, photographed, cut and prepared for assay; WD-25-02 was drilled from the same pad to test the plate ~40 metres further west along strike.

Operational and project advancement news (drilling progress, high‑grade results) have typically coincided with positive price reactions, while financing news drew a modest negative move.

Recent Company History

Over the last few months, Nine Mile Metals has focused on advancing the Wedge copper‑gold project. A flow-through private placement on Oct 29, 2025 raised $400,000 and was followed by drill rig mobilization on Nov 3, 2025. Phase 3 XRF work on Nov 5, 2025 reported high copper and antimony readings. Subsequent Wedge drill updates on Nov 26 and Dec 3, 2025 confirmed zones of copper-rich VMS mineralization, each accompanied by double‑digit percentage price gains.

Analysis

The stock surged +58.3% in the session following this news. A strong positive reaction aligns with prior Wedge project updates, where drilling and high‑grade exploration news have often preceded sizeable gains, including moves of 58.33% and 23.28% after earlier announcements. However, past financing activity has produced a negative response, underscoring sensitivity to dilution. Investors have previously rewarded clear progress on mineralized zones but sentiment could reverse if follow‑up assays disappoint or subsequent funding terms are viewed unfavorably.

Key Terms

chalcopyrite, pyrite, xrf, azimuth
4 terms
chalcopyrite technical
"however, upon close examination, chalcopyrite (Cu) is seen as very fine disseminations"
Chalcopyrite is a common copper-bearing mineral (a copper-iron sulfide) that often looks brassy yellow and is the main source of mined copper worldwide. For investors, its presence and abundance in a rock deposit determine how much recoverable copper a mine can produce and how profitable extraction will be — think of chalcopyrite as the concentrated ingredient that makes an ore body valuable and worth developing.
pyrite technical
"chalcopyrite (Cu) is seen as very fine disseminations within a matrix of pyrite."
Pyrite is a common metallic mineral made of iron and sulfur, often called “fool’s gold” because its shiny, brassy appearance can be mistaken for real gold. For investors, pyrite matters because its presence influences ore value and processing costs—it can dilute precious metal grades, increase sulfur-related treatment and environmental cleanup expenses, and create acid runoff risks at mining sites, much like unexpected rocks in a gravel pile that change what you can do with the load.
xrf technical
"The VMS sulphides were visible so our time consuming XRF analysis process was not performed"
X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is a non-destructive lab technique that uses X-rays to identify and measure the elements in a material, like reading the elemental 'fingerprint' of a rock, metal part, or product. Investors care because XRF helps confirm the quality, composition and value of raw materials, ores or manufactured goods quickly and cheaply, which can affect mining grades, production costs, regulatory compliance and the valuation of companies tied to those materials.
azimuth technical
"drilled at an azimuth of 335 degrees with a dip of -50 degrees to target the 2 modeled plates"
Azimuth is the compass direction measured as an angle from a fixed reference point (usually true or magnetic north) along the horizontal plane — think of it as the bearing you would read on a compass or map to point toward something. For investors, azimuth matters because it describes the precise orientation of things like drill holes, survey lines, antennas or satellite dishes; correct orientation affects accuracy, operational efficiency, estimated yields, compliance and ultimately project costs and timelines.

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - November 26, 2025) - NINE MILE METALS LTD. (CSE: NINE) (OTC Pink: VMSXF) (FSE: KQ9) (the "Company" or "Nine Mile"), is pleased to announce that the 1st drill hole in its Wedge Western Extension Drill Program (DDH-WD-25-01) has been completed to target depth and is in progress on its 2nd hole (DDH-WD-25-02).

  • WD-25-01 was collared along the southern flank of the Wedge Mine and drilled at an azimuth of 335 degrees with a dip of -50 degrees to target the 2 modeled plates in the western extension (Figure 2).
  • DDH WD-25-01 was successful, intersecting approximately 22.40 meters (true width) of massive copper bearing sulphides (VMS - Cu-Pb-Zn-Ag-Au), in the 1st Target Plate.
  • DDH WD-25-01 also intersected a 2nd sulphide zone in Target Plate 2, which is currently being geologically logged, measured, photographed and cut for sampling.
  • A total of 65 sample sections have been identified for base and precious metals analysis (including Antimony) by Actlabs, Fredericton, New Brunswick. The VMS sulphides were visible so our time consuming XRF analysis process was not performed on this large a section to expediate the samples to the labs for certified analysis, also keeping the crew from becoming backlogged in the drill program.
  • All drill core has been measured, logged, photographed, marked and cut for sampling at the company's warehouse in Bathurst New Brunswick.
  • WD-25-02 was collared on the same drill pad and drilled at an azimuth of 310 degrees and a dip of -50 degrees to intersect the first plate approximately 40 meters further west to extend the mineralized zone along strike.
  • More details will follow when geological logging of the drill core has been completed.

Gary Lohman, VP Exploration, Director stated, "We are very pleased with the VMS sulphide mineralization intersects from our first drill hole, WD-25-01. The mineralization was intersected where projected and throughout its width, it is massive and looks nondescript as seen in the images above, however, upon close examination, chalcopyrite (Cu) is seen as very fine disseminations within a matrix of pyrite. With the success of the first hole, the technical team, with the assistance of Apex Geoscience, decided to turn the drill west (WD-25-02) to intersect the VMS sulphide zone along strike and extend the mineralized footprint west. We look forward to building on this success and reporting the ongoing progress of this important Drill program at The Wedge Project."

Patrick J. Cruickshank, MBA, CEO & Director, stated, "The team is working diligently and efficiently to process the core as quickly as possible including carrying out core orientation and markup, geological logging, photography, cutting and sampling, prior to submitting for assay. Our Team is doing a stellar job. We are happy to deliver this update and will provide an update on hole WD-25-02 as soon as possible. Apex Geoscience has been instrumental in their advisory and drill program design along with our entire our Technical Team. We are well on our way with this exciting Drill Program at the Western Extension of the Wedge. A more detailed update shortly once we interpret these 2 holes and make any adjustments or new targets to the program."
