Western Gold Exploration Intersects 3.9 m @ 7.17 g/t Gold in Maiden Drilling at the Caledonian Gold Project, Scotland
All four holes at the first target intersected gold-bearing structures; results from the second target remain pending.
Sentiment and the balance of points
Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.
Rhea-AI Summary
Western Gold Exploration (WGELF) reported a 3.9 m gold intercept from maiden drilling at its Caledonian Gold Project in Scotland. Hole GLDD26_004 returned 7.17 g/t gold from 86.0 m, with 27.8 g/t silver, 6.51% lead and 2.10% zinc. This included 0.5 m at 42.8 g/t gold from 88.6 m.
All four holes at Coire a'Ghabhalach intersected gold-bearing vein structures over 667 m of drilling. The completed campaign covered approximately 1,260 m across seven holes; results from three holes at Creag Sheileach remain pending. Western Gold operates the project through a 90%-owned joint venture with Acrux Gold, which holds 10%. The company interprets the intersections as a single braided vein system or two parallel veins, open along strike and at depth. It is evaluating a ground geophysical survey and an extension of soil sampling ahead of future drilling.
How this balance works
Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.
It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.
Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Geological Overview
The Caledonian Gold Project is situated within the highly prospective Grampian Terrane, a key segment of the Caledonian mineral belt that stretches from Northern Britain and Ireland to Scandinavia and North America. This district is already proven for gold, hosting deposits such as Cononish, which lies approximately 10 km along strike to the SW of the CaG Vein, as well as Cavanacaw and the significant Curraghinalt deposit (Dalradian Resources; Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources of 6.34 Mt at 15.01 g/t Au for 3.06 Moz Au, and Inferred Mineral Resources of 7.72 Mt at 12.24 g/t Au for 3.04 Moz Au, at a 5.0 g/t Au cut-off; effective date May 10, 2018 - NI 43-101 Technical Report for the Curraghinalt Gold Project, Northern Ireland, dated June 22, 2018, by SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc.). The reader is cautioned that mineralisation on adjacent properties is not necessarily indicative of what can or will be found within any projects upon which the JV may be granted exploration options.
Coire a'Ghabhalach (CaG Vein)
The CaG Vein is exposed at surface and forms a structurally complex zone of polymetallic gold mineralisation. It is characterised by multiple generations of grey to blue-grey quartz-sulphide veins with semi-massive pyrite, galena and sphalerite, and sericite-chlorite alteration of adjacent wallrocks. As previously reported (see Company press release dated 9 September 2026), backpack drilling and channel sampling returned significant results across the prospect, including 1.8 m @ 7.53 g/t Au (CGSD9) and 1.0 m @ 12.95 g/t Au (CGSD7) in drilling, and 2.5 m @ 5.18 g/t Au, including 0.6 m @ 16.70 g/t Au (CGCS1), in channel sampling. Veining and associated wallrock alteration have been traced over a strike length of at least 180 m, with this extent currently constrained by overburden cover rather than a defined termination of the mineralised system.

Review by Qualified Person, Quality Control and Reports
David Pym (CGeol), a consultant of the Company, is the Qualified Person (as defined by National Instrument 43-101) who supervised, verified and approved the scientific and technical disclosure in this press release on behalf of the Company. The results presented in this press release are from the Company's own sampling and provide an important validation of historical assays quoted in previous press releases.
The Qualified Person has not reviewed the mineral tenure, nor independently verified the legal status and ownership of the Property or any underlying property agreements. The drilling was conducted by specialist contractor Mineral Exploration Drilling Ltd (MED) using a small footprint drill rig. Collars were surveyed using multi-band GNSS for precision positioning, and downhole surveys were measured using a Reflex GYRO survey tool. Holes were drilled using HQ and NQ diameter core barrels positioned approximately perpendicular to the interpreted orientation of drill-targets. All core was orientated and recoveries were generally >
Sampling Methods*1: Channel samples were collected by cutting a continuous channel of uniform width and depth across the exposed vein face and are considered broadly representative of true vein width over the sampled interval. Diamond backpack drill samples are considered analogous to channel samples in terms of representativeness. All intervals represent length-weighted averages calculated using a 0.5 g/t Au cut-off and a minimum internal dilution threshold of 0.01 g/t Au over 1 metre. True widths have not been determined in all cases and reported intervals may not represent true vein widths where vein orientation relative to sample orientation has not been fully constrained.
Each sample was crushed, split, and pulverised prior to analysis. Multi-element geochemistry (48 elements, including silver and base metals) was determined using a four-acid digestion followed by ICP-MS analysis (method ME-MS61L). Gold was assayed using a 30 g fire assay with an ICP-MS finish, providing a detection limit of 0.005 ppm (Au-AA23).
All analytical work was undertaken by ALS Global, Ireland. ALS Geochemistry laboratories operate under a unified Global Geochemistry Quality Manual in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and use a global laboratory information management system (LIMS) to ensure consistent, high-quality, and reproducible analytical results.
