Filing Explained

The August 25 report adds technical classification detail while leaving the December 31, 2025 Los Gatos estimates unchanged.

The Los Gatos technical report is filed and effective as of August 25, 2026, but it supports estimates with an effective date of December 31, 2025; the filing therefore documents the estimate basis rather than a newly disclosed change to the estimates.

Mineral resources are reported within conceptually mineable stope shapes on an in-situ basis, without mining dilution or recovery factors; resources that are not reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.

Mineral reserves use mineable stope shapes, a variable net-smelter-return cutoff, and modifying factors including recovery, dilution, metallurgy, infrastructure, regulatory, and social considerations. The filing also states that Inferred Resources may not be upgraded or converted into reserves, so that category does not establish a reserve or an economically demonstrated mine plan.

CIM Definition Standards year 2014 Year of CIM Definition Standards referenced for Mineral Resources and Reserves classification
National Instrument 43-101 regulatory
"prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects"
National Instrument 43-101 is a set of rules and guidelines that govern how mineral exploration and mining companies must report information about their projects. It ensures that the details shared with investors are accurate, consistent, and reliable—similar to how a detailed, verified blueprint ensures a building’s safety. This helps investors make informed decisions based on trustworthy information about a company's mineral resources.
Mineral Resource technical
"supports the Los Gatos Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates effective December 31, 2025"
A mineral resource is a naturally occurring concentration of minerals in the ground that is considered valuable and likely recoverable based on geological evidence and preliminary studies. For investors, it signals the potential size and worth of a deposit—like a marked treasure area on a map—while also carrying uncertainty about how much can actually be mined and at what cost, affecting project value and risk.
Mineral Reserve technical
"supports the Los Gatos Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates effective December 31, 2025"
Mineral reserve is the portion of a mineral deposit that geological and engineering studies show can be legally and economically extracted with current technology and market prices. Investors treat reserves like a company’s usable inventory: they underpin revenue forecasts, the expected life of a mine, asset valuation and borrowing capacity, so increases or decreases in reserves directly affect profitability and investment risk.
Los Gatos Joint Venture financial
"Los Gatos is owned through the Los Gatos Joint Venture ("LGJV"), in which First Majestic holds a 70% interest"
net smelter return (NSR) cut-off technical
"mineable stope shapes generated using a variable net smelter return (NSR) cut-off methodology"
Qualified Person regulatory
"each of whom is a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101"
A qualified person is someone with specialized knowledge, experience, and training in a particular field, allowing them to accurately assess and verify information or work. Their expertise helps ensure that reports, evaluations, or decisions are trustworthy and meet required standards. For investors, a qualified person provides confidence that the information they rely on is credible and properly validated.
