How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Adjusted EBITDA financial
"Adjusted EBITDA was $19.8 million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
adjusted gross profit financial
"Generated adjusted gross profit of $35.3 million"
Adjusted gross profit is a company’s revenue from selling goods or services minus the direct costs of producing them, with one-time or unusual items added back or removed to show the core margin. Investors use it like a cleaned-up snapshot of how much a business actually earns on its products, similar to measuring body weight after removing heavy clothes, because it helps compare performance across periods and companies without noise from rare events.
non-GAAP financial measures financial
"These non-GAAP financial measures may not be comparable"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.
restricted cash financial
"Cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash at end of period"
Cash that a company holds but cannot use for day-to-day operations because it is set aside for a specific purpose—such as meeting loan covenants, serving as collateral, funding an escrow, or complying with regulations. Like money in a locked savings account earmarked for a bill, restricted cash reduces the cash available to run the business and pay dividends or debts, so investors treat it differently when assessing a company’s true short-term financial strength.
Revenue $85.2 million from $73.0 million in the third quarter of 2025
Net loss $10.4 million from $6.3 million in the third quarter of 2025
Adjusted EBITDA $19.8 million from $6.3 million in the third quarter of 2025
Energy Industrial revenue $39.9 million from $24.3 million in the third quarter of 2025
Guidance

Q4 2026 revenue is expected to range between $60 million and $75 million; net loss between $11 million and $8 million; net loss per share between $0.13 and $0.10; and Adjusted EBITDA between $5 million and $13 million, excluding estimated East Providence incident-related costs of $5 million to $10 million. FY 2026 capital expenditures, excluding costs related to restoration of the East Providence facility, are expected to be less than $10 million.

Non-GAAP Financial Measures
In addition to providing financial measurements based on generally accepted accounting principles in the United States of America (“GAAP”), Aspen provides additional financial metrics that are not prepared in accordance with GAAP (“non-GAAP”). The non-GAAP financial measures included in this press release are Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, adjusted net income (loss), adjusted net income (loss) per share, adjusted gross profit, and adjusted gross margin. Management uses these non-GAAP financial measures, in addition to GAAP financial measures, as a measure of operating performance because the non-GAAP financial measures do not include the impact of items that management does not consider indicative of Aspen's core operating performance. These excluded items include the loss on disposal of property, plant and equipment and costs related to the East Providence incidents, including expedited freight and expedited repair costs, professional fees; and the incremental cost of temporarily sourcing certain products from the Company's external manufacturing facility until the East Providence facility returns to full production capacity. In addition, management uses Adjusted EBITDA (i) for planning purposes, including the preparation of Aspen's annual operating budget, (ii) to allocate resources to enhance the financial performance of its business, and (iii) as a performance measure under its bonus plan.

Management believes that these non-GAAP financial measures reflect Aspen's ongoing business in a manner that allows for meaningful comparisons and analysis of trends in its business, as it excludes expenses and gains not reflective of Aspen's ongoing operating results or that may be infrequent and/or unusual in nature. Management also believes that these non-GAAP financial measures provide useful information to investors in understanding and evaluating Aspen's operating results and future prospects in the same manner as management and in comparing financial results across accounting periods and to those of peer companies. These non-GAAP measures may not be comparable to similarly titled measures presented by other companies.

The non-GAAP financial measures do not replace the presentation of Aspen's GAAP financial results and should only be used as a supplement to, not as a substitute for, Aspen's financial results presented in accordance with GAAP. In this press release, Aspen has provided a reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA to net income (loss), Adjusted EBITDA margin to net loss margin, adjusted net income (loss) to net loss, adjusted net income (loss) per share to net loss per share, adjusted gross profit to gross profit, and adjusted gross margin to gross margin, in each case to the most directly comparable GAAP financial measure. Management strongly encourages investors to review Aspen's financial statements and publicly filed reports in their entirety and not rely on any single financial measure.

Reconciliation of Non-GAAP Financial Measures

The following tables present reconciliations of the non-GAAP financial measures included in this press release to the most directly comparable GAAP measures:

Reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA to Net Loss

We define Adjusted EBITDA as net income (loss) before interest expense, taxes, depreciation, amortization, stock-based compensation expense and other items, which occur from time to time and which we do not believe are indicative of our core operating performance. We define Adjusted EBITDA margin as Adjusted EBITDA divided by revenue, and net loss margin as net loss divided by revenue.
