Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

Corcept completed $43.7 million of stock acquisitions during the quarter, while several additional trial results remain prospective.

This 8-K reports third-quarter results and a corporate update; the attached release records $43.7 million of common stock acquired under Corcept’s repurchase program during the quarter. Cash and investments were $662.3 million at September 30, 2026.

In oncology, BELLA Part B enrollment was nearing completion and Part C enrollment was complete; results for both were expected by the end of next year. Enrollment continued in the Phase 2 TRIDENT pancreatic-cancer and prostate-cancer studies, with results expected by the end of next year; the company had also initiated STELLA, a Phase 2 cervical-cancer study.

In MONARCH, the release reports a larger liver-fat reduction with 200 mg miricorilant twice weekly than with 100 mg twice weekly, and a 19 percent fibrosis improvement at 48 weeks among Cohort A patients who received pre- and post-treatment liver biopsies. The company said it planned to start a Phase 2 trial soon to evaluate a higher miricorilant dose. Exploratory DAZALS analyses reported an 84 percent first-year reduction in risk of death for patients receiving 300 mg dazucorilant versus placebo; a Phase 3 study was planned for next year.

PDUFA date regulatory
"Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) date of December 17, 2026"
PDUFA date is the deadline the U.S. Food and Drug Administration sets to complete its review of a drug or biologic application and decide whether to approve it. Investors watch it like a court verdict date: the decision can unlock sales and growth if approved or sharply reduce expected value if denied, so markets often move significantly as the date approaches or when the outcome is announced.
progression-free survival medical
"clinically meaningful progression-free survival (PFS)"
Progression-free survival is the length of time during and after a treatment that a patient's disease does not get worse, measured from the start of treatment until the disease shows measurable signs of progression or the patient dies. Investors care because longer progression-free survival in clinical trials often signals that a drug is effective, improving chances of regulatory approval, market adoption, and revenue potential—think of it as a stopwatch showing how long a therapy can keep the illness at bay.
objective response rate medical
"objective response rate (ORR)"
The objective response rate (ORR) is the percentage of patients in a clinical trial whose tumors measurably shrink or disappear according to preset rules. Investors use it as a quick, objective signal of a drug’s ability to produce a clear treatment effect—like counting how many plants visibly respond after applying a new fertilizer—and higher ORR can improve odds of regulatory approval, commercial success, and company valuation.
hazard ratio medical
"hazard ratio: 0.16, p-value: 0.0009"
A hazard ratio is a way scientists compare the chance of something happening over time between two groups, like patients taking different medicines. If the ratio is high, it means one group is more likely to experience the event sooner or more often, which helps determine how effective a treatment is or how risky a situation might be.

Clinical Development
Hypercortisolism (Cushing’s Syndrome)
•American Diabetes Association (ADA) and European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD)’s Consensus Report on the Management of Type 2 Diabetes, published in October 2026, recommends screening for hypercortisolism in diabetic patients with poor glucose control despite ongoing medications; cites mifepristone as a potentially beneficial treatment

•Relacorilant for patients with Cushing’s syndrome – Resubmitted New Drug Application Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) date of December 17, 2026
“The ADA and EASD consensus statement is an important advance for the many patients whose difficult-to-control hyperglycemia is a manifestation of undiagnosed Cushing’s syndrome,” said Bill Guyer, PharmD, Corcept’s Chief Development Officer. “Optimal care starts with screening and a correct diagnosis. The ADA/EASD report also identifies mifepristone as a potential treatment, citing the positive results of our CATALYST trial.”
Oncology
Relacorilant in Combination with Chemotherapy
•BELLA Part A –Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel and bevacizumab in 95 patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer demonstrated clinically meaningful median PFS of 7.2 months, ORR of 59 percent and OS of 88 percent at 6-months (median OS not yet reached at the time of the primary analysis); benefit was most pronounced among patients who had not received bevacizumab previously (these patients had received fewer prior lines of treatment): median PFS of 8.1 months, ORR of 66 percent and 6-month OS of 91 percent; safety profile of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel and bevacizumab was consistent with the known profiles of each individual agent, with no new safety signals identified
•BELLA Part B – Enrollment nearing completion in Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel and bevacizumab in 90 patients with platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer whose disease progressed while on a PARP inhibitor – Results expected by the end of next year
•BELLA Part C – Enrollment completed in Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel in 92 patients with endometrial cancer (received one or two prior lines of therapy) – Results expected by the end of next year
•TRIDENT – Enrollment continues in Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine as first-line therapy in 60 patients with pancreatic cancer – Results expected by the end of next year
•STELLA – Initiated Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel in 50 patients with cervical cancer (received one or two prior lines of therapy), conducted in collaboration with ARCAGY-GINECO
•Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) – European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) recommended in September 2026 that the European Commission should approve our MAA for relacorilant plus nab-paclitaxel to treat patients with platinum-resistant ovarian cancer – Approval expected by the end of this year
Relacorilant in Combination with Androgen Deprivation Therapy
•Prostate cancer – Enrollment continues in randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2 trial of relacorilant plus enzalutamide in early-stage prostate cancer, conducted in collaboration with the University of Chicago – Results expected by the end of next year
Nenocorilant in Combination with Immunotherapy
•SYNERGY – Enrollment continues in Phase 1b dose-finding trial of nenocorilant plus nivolumab in 30 patients with a variety of solid tumors – Results expected by the end of next year
“Substantial preclinical and clinical data suggest that our proprietary, selective glucocorticoid receptor (GR) antagonists benefit patients both by sensitizing their tumors to chemotherapy and by bolstering their immune system’s ability to combat the disease,” said Dr. Guyer. “Our goal is to establish GR antagonism as a mechanism for treating a broad range of solid tumors, in combination with a variety of anticancer therapies, at every stage of disease. Our BELLA Part A results provide the latest evidence of GR antagonism’s versatility, especially when administered earlier in the course of disease. Our current trials – BELLA (Parts B and C), TRIDENT and

SYNERGY – will generate important data in 2027. But these studies are just the start. We are aggressively expanding our research activities, with the goal of helping many more patients.”
Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH)
•MONARCH Study Design – Cohort A enrolled 82 patients with biopsy-confirmed MASH, randomized 2:1 to receive either 100 mg of miricorilant twice weekly or placebo for 48 weeks; Cohort B enrolled 93 patients with presumed MASH, randomized 2:1 to receive either (i) 100 mg of miricorilant twice weekly for 6 weeks, then 200 mg of miricorilant twice weekly for 18 weeks or (ii) placebo for 24 weeks
•MONARCH Results – Patients who received 200 mg of miricorilant twice weekly experienced a significantly larger reduction in liver fat than patients who received 100 mg of miricorilant twice weekly; patients – in Cohort A – who received pre- and post-treatment liver biopsies experienced an improvement in fibrosis of 19 percent at 48 weeks; importantly, miricorilant was very well tolerated in both cohorts; the rate of adverse events between the miricorilant and placebo arms was virtually indistinguishable; we are starting a Phase 2 trial soon to evaluate a higher dose of miricorilant, 100 mg daily
“We are encouraged by the dose-dependent reductions in liver fat, and improvement in fibrosis observed at the very low doses of miricorilant administered in MONARCH. We plan to study higher doses, to see if miricorilant’s fat- and fibrosis-reducing activity can be realized without sacrificing its excellent tolerability,” said Dr. Guyer.
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)
•DAZALS – Exploratory analyses showed that patients who received dazucorilant 300 mg exhibited an 84 percent reduction in risk of death during the study’s first year compared to patients who received placebo (hazard ratio: 0.16, p-value: 0.0009) – This benefit persisted into the study’s second year with an 87 percent reduction in risk of death (hazard ratio: 0.13, p-value: < 0.0001)
•Phase 3 trial – Planned to begin next year
“In our Phase 2 DAZALS study, treatment with a cortisol modulator was associated with a profound reduction in early mortality, during a period when many patients with ALS still retain significant function and maintain good quality of life,” said Dr. Guyer. “We plan to begin a Phase 3 study next year.”
