"increased the Company’s stock repurchase authorization by $200 million"
A stock repurchase authorization is board approval for a company to buy back its own shares up to a stated amount or time period, using its cash or borrowed funds. For investors it matters because reducing the number of shares outstanding can increase each remaining share’s claim on profits and often signals management’s confidence, but it also uses cash that could have been spent on other priorities — like shrinking a pie so each slice is bigger.
Rule 10b5-1 regulatory
"in accordance with Rule 10b5-1 and Rule 10b-18"
Rule 10b5-1 is a regulation that allows company insiders to buy or sell their shares at predetermined times, even if they have access to non-public information. It acts like setting a schedule in advance for transactions, helping prevent accusations of unfair trading. This rule provides a way for insiders to plan trades transparently, giving investors confidence that these transactions are not based on hidden information.
Rule 10b-18 regulatory
"in accordance with Rule 10b5-1 and Rule 10b-18"
Rule 10b-18 is a regulation that sets strict rules for how a company's executives and employees can buy back their own company's stock from the market. It helps ensure that these buybacks happen in a fair and transparent way, reducing the chance of market manipulation. This is important for investors because it offers protection against unfair practices and promotes confidence in the integrity of the stock market.

FirstCash Announces $200 Million Increase to Share Repurchase Program
____________________________________________________________

Fort Worth, Texas (October 28, 2026) -- FirstCash Holdings, Inc. (“FirstCash” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: FCFS), the leading international operator of more than 3,300 retail pawn stores, today announced that its Board of Directors has increased the Company’s stock repurchase authorization by $200 million, bringing the total authorization under the program to $350 million.

Under the existing share repurchase program authorized in July 2026, FirstCash has repurchased to date 644,000 shares of its outstanding common stock at an average price of $199.46 per share, for an aggregate purchase price of $128 million. With the increased authorization and as of today’s market open, the Company now has $222 million in remaining authorization under the current program.

“We have meaningfully increased our share repurchase authorization to $350 million to opportunistically return value to shareholders as we see a growing disconnect between our current valuation and FirstCash’s progress toward our long-term growth objectives,” said Rick Wessel, FirstCash’s CEO.

“Our primary strategic focus remains the global growth of core pawn operations through accretive acquisitions and new store openings, and we continue to see significant opportunities to add locations in each of our geographic segments. FirstCash’s ability to simultaneously fund store growth and increase the share repurchase program authorization reflects the continued strength of the Company’s balance sheet, its record free cash flows and the recent upsizing of our unsecured revolving credit facility.

“We are proud of FirstCash’s long-standing history of providing enhanced shareholder returns through share repurchases and dividends. Over the past 25 years, the Company has repurchased almost 27 million shares of common stock at an aggregate cost of $1.7 billion or an average price of $64 per share. Notable as well, is that we have averaged $139 million in annual share repurchases over the last ten years and that our cash dividends have increased every year since we initiated the dividend program in 2016,” concluded Mr. Wessel.

Under the amended share repurchase plan, the Company may purchase common stock in open market transactions, block or privately negotiated transactions, and may from time to time purchase shares pursuant to a trading plan in accordance with Rule 10b5-1 and Rule 10b-18 under the Exchange Act or by any combination of such methods. The number of shares to be purchased and the timing of the purchases are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the level of cash balances, liquidity needs, credit availability, debt covenant restrictions, general business and economic conditions, regulatory requirements, the market price of the Company’s stock, the Company’s dividend policy and the availability of acquisitions or other alternative investment opportunities. No time limit was set for completion of repurchases under the new authorization and the program may be suspended or discontinued at any time.
