Insights

NDXT is an equal-weighted, technology-focused price return index with strong recent returns.

The supplement shows the Nasdaq-100 Technology Sector Index delivered an annualized 52.06% return over the 1-year period and a 30.23% annualized return over 3 years, with corresponding annualized volatilities of 23.27% and 26.34%. These figures are calculated through May 1, 2026.

Performance is historical; future performance is not implied. The index’s equal-weighting and Technology concentration underscore sector-specific sensitivity; subsequent product payouts will depend on underlier moves and issuer credit.

The supplement frames product mechanics and identifies issuer and guarantor credit and concentration risks.

The document states securities linked to the index are subject to the credit risk of GS Finance Corp. (issuer) and The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (guarantor) and lists multiple specific risk factors, including lack of shareholder rights and dividend exclusion.

It also notes Nasdaq, Inc. retains discretionary control over the index. Cash‑flow treatment for any specific security is tied to the applicable pricing supplement and prospectus disclosures.

equal weighted financial
"The index is a “price return” index and is an equal weighted index."
Equal weighted describes a portfolio or index construction where each holding is given the same importance by value, so every stock contributes equally to performance regardless of company size. For investors this matters because it avoids concentration in a few large firms and tends to increase exposure to smaller names, changing risk and return patterns much like giving each player on a team the same playtime instead of favoring the stars.
Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) regulatory
"Each issuer of a stock in the index is classified as a Technology company according to the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB)."
An industry classification benchmark is a standardized system that sorts public companies into clear industry and sector groups so investors can compare similar businesses and track market segments. It matters because it lets investors measure performance, build diversified portfolios, and compare funds or indices on an apples‑to‑apples basis—like grouping fruits by type so you can fairly compare prices, quality, and trends across the same category.
