at-the-market offering program financial
"During the second quarter, the Company sold shares through its at-the-market offering program"
An at-the-market offering program lets a company sell newly issued shares directly into the open market at current trading prices through a broker, rather than issuing a large block of stock all at once. It matters to investors because it provides the company a flexible way to raise cash over time, which can dilute existing shares gradually and affect earnings per share and stock price depending on how much and when shares are sold—think of it as a faucet the company can open or close to add supply to the market.
short-term investments financial
"Gaxos maintained cash and short-term investments of approximately $11.44 million"
Short-term investments are financial assets purchased with the goal of turning them back into cash within about a year, including things like Treasury bills, money market funds, and short-duration bonds. They matter to investors because they provide a lower-risk, more accessible place to park money than stocks or long-term bonds—like a nearby savings box that earns some interest while staying ready for immediate needs or opportunities.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"Certain statements contained in this press release are “forward-looking statements” within the meaning"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
counter-UAS technical
"a defense-technology company developing next-generation counter-UAS and robotic platforms"
Counter-UAS (counter-unmanned aircraft systems) are tools and tactics used to detect, track, and disable or divert drones that pose a threat to people, property, or operations. Think of them as a combination of a security camera, alarm system, and net that can find an unwanted flying device and stop it before it causes harm. Investors care because demand, regulation, and deployment of these systems affect revenue, contract opportunities, legal risk, and the valuation of companies that build or use them.
Sequentially financial
"record Second-Quarter Revenue, Up 35.8% Sequentially and 1,337% Year over Year"
Consolidated revenue $2.46 million up 35.8% sequentially and 1,337% year over year
Advertising and marketing expense $3.14 million increased approximately 13.5% sequentially
Revenue per advertising dollar $0.78 improved from approximately $0.65 in the first quarter
