How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

At September 30, 2026, cash was $12,533 thousand and short-term investments $84,248 thousand; nine-month operating cash use was $15,801 thousand.

This Form 8-K reports CS Disco's third-quarter 2026 results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026; common shares issued and outstanding stood at 65,676, versus 63,264 at December 31, 2025.

Because an increase in shares reduces existing holders' percentage ownership absent offsetting changes, a holder whose share count did not change would own a smaller percentage at the later reported date.

As of September 30, 2026, the balance sheet listed $12,533 thousand in cash and $84,248 thousand in short-term investments; for the nine months ended then, operating activities used $15,801 thousand in cash.

Adjusted EBITDA financial
"Adjusted EBITDA was $0.1 million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
contingent matter financial
"the impact of the contingent matter in Q3 2025"
agentic AI technical
"an agentic AI application"
Agentic AI refers to computer systems that can make their own decisions and take actions without needing someone to tell them what to do each time. It's like giving a robot a degree of independence to solve problems or achieve goals on its own, which matters because it could change how we work and interact with technology in everyday life.
non-GAAP financial measures financial
"These non-GAAP financial measures are not prepared in accordance with GAAP"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.

DISCO Announces Third Quarter 2026 Financial Results

Total Revenue of $45.3 Million, A Year over Year Increase of 11%, or 15% when Excluding the Contingent Matter in Q3 2025
AUSTIN, Texas - November 4, 2026 - CS Disco, Inc. (“DISCO”) (NYSE: LAW) today announced financial results for its third quarter ended September 30, 2026.

"DISCO had another strong quarter building AI for Litigators, paced by our sixth consecutive quarter of double-digit software growth, rapid growth in our DISCO Platform, which has grown 10x since Q1 2026, and continued customer enthusiasm for our unified litigation solution which just added a second cohort to our pilot program,” said Eric Friedrichsen, CEO of DISCO. “Importantly, we also reached break-even Adjusted EBITDA  in Q3 - a full quarter ahead of schedule."

Third Quarter 2026 Financial Highlights:

•Software revenue was $38.6 million, up 10% compared to the third quarter of 2025 and up 13% when excluding the impact of the contingent matter in Q3 2025. The contingent matter in Q3 2025 related to a contract in which consideration payable was contingent upon the conclusion of the legal matter. The Company does not recognize revenue related to such contracts until the legal matter is resolved, which occurred in Q3 2025 and led to $1.2 million of software revenue recognized during the period.
•Total revenue was $45.3 million, up 11% compared to the third quarter of 2025 and up 15% when excluding the impact of the contingent matter in Q3 2025. The contingent matter resolved in Q3 2025 led to $1.3 million of total revenue recognized during the period.
•GAAP net loss was $5.0 million, compared to $13.7 million in the third quarter of 2025.
•Adjusted EBITDA was $0.1 million, compared to $(0.3) million in the third quarter of 2025.

Recent Business Highlights:

•Positive Adjusted EBITDA: DISCO achieved positive Adjusted EBITDA in Q3 2026, one quarter ahead of expectations.
•Large Customers: As of September 30, 2026, DISCO grew to 374 customers with revenue in excess of $100,000 over the previous 12-month period, a 15% increase compared to September 30, 2025.
•Advanced Research: DISCO announced the general availability of Advanced Research, an agentic AI application that adds autonomous, multi-step reasoning and transparent decision-making logic to help litigators quickly evolve case strategy and gain deep insights from evidence.

Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2026 Financial Outlook

As of November 4, 2026, DISCO is issuing the following outlook for the fourth quarter of 2026 and fiscal year 2026:

Fourth quarter of 2026:

•Software revenue in the range of $39.4 million - $40.4 million.
•Total revenue in the range of $45.8 million - $47.8 million.
•Adjusted EBITDA in the range of $0.0 million - $1.5 million.

Fiscal year 2026:

•Software revenue in the range of $149.5 million - $150.5 million.
•Total revenue in the range of $176.1 million - $178.1 million.
•Adjusted EBITDA in the range of $(6.8) million - $(5.3) million.

DISCO’s fourth quarter and fiscal year 2026 financial outlook is based on assumptions that are subject to change, many of which are outside of its control. If actual results vary from these assumptions, these expectations may change. There can be no assurance that DISCO will achieve these results.

A reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA on a forward-looking basis to net loss, the most directly comparable GAAP measure, is not available without unreasonable efforts due to the high variability and complexity and low visibility with respect to the charges excluded from this non-GAAP measure; in particular, the effects of stock-based compensation expense specific to

equity compensation awards that are directly impacted by unpredictable fluctuations in DISCO’s stock price and expenses associated with the stockholder litigation. DISCO expects the variability of the above charges to have a significant, and potentially unpredictable, impact on its future GAAP financial results.

Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measures

DISCO uses the following non-GAAP financial measures: Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin; non-GAAP cost of revenue; non-GAAP gross profit; non-GAAP gross margin; non-GAAP research and development expense; non-GAAP research and development expense as a percentage of revenue; non-GAAP sales and marketing expense; non-GAAP sales and marketing expense as a percentage of revenue; non-GAAP general and administrative expense; non-GAAP general and administrative expense as a percentage of revenue; non-GAAP loss from operations; non-GAAP operating margin; non-GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders, non-GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders per share (basic and diluted) and non-GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders as a percentage of revenue. Management believes that these non-GAAP financial measures are useful measures of operating performance because they exclude items that DISCO does not consider indicative of its core performance.

In the case of Adjusted EBITDA and Adjusted EBITDA margin, DISCO adjusts net loss for such items as depreciation and amortization expense; income tax provision; interest and other, net; stock-based compensation expense; payroll tax expense on employee stock transactions; expenses associated with stockholder litigation; and other one-time, non-recurring items, when applicable. In the case of non-GAAP cost of revenue, non-GAAP gross profit, non-GAAP gross margin, non-GAAP research and development expense, non-GAAP research and development expense as a percentage of revenue, non-GAAP sales and marketing expense and non-GAAP sales and marketing expense as a percentage of revenue, DISCO adjusts the respective GAAP balances for stock-based compensation expense, and other one-time, non-recurring items, when applicable. In the case of non-GAAP general and administrative expense, non-GAAP general and administrative expense as a percentage of revenue, non-GAAP loss from operations, non-GAAP operating margin, non-GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders, non-GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders per share (basic and diluted) and non-GAAP net loss attributable to common stockholders as a percentage of revenue, DISCO adjusts the respective GAAP balances for stock-based compensation expense, expenses associated with stockholder litigation, and other one-time, non-recurring items, when applicable.

There are limitations associated with the use of these non-GAAP financial measures. These non-GAAP financial measures are not prepared in accordance with GAAP, do not reflect a comprehensive system of accounting and may not be completely comparable to similarly titled measures of other companies due to potential differences in the exact method of calculation between companies. Certain items that are excluded from these non-GAAP financial measures can have a material impact on operating loss and net loss. As a result, these non-GAAP financial measures have limitations and should be considered in addition to, not as a substitute for or superior to, the closest GAAP measures, or other financial measures prepared in accordance with GAAP.

DISCO's management uses these non-GAAP measures as measures of operating performance; to prepare DISCO's annual operating budget; to allocate resources to enhance the financial performance of DISCO's business; to evaluate the effectiveness of DISCO's business strategies; to provide consistency and comparability with past financial performance; to facilitate a comparison of DISCO's results with those of other companies, many of which use similar non-GAAP financial measures to supplement their GAAP results; and in communication with DISCO’s board of directors concerning financial performance.
