agentic AI technical
"operationalize agentic AI across the customer journey"
Agentic AI refers to computer systems that can make their own decisions and take actions without needing someone to tell them what to do each time. It's like giving a robot a degree of independence to solve problems or achieve goals on its own, which matters because it could change how we work and interact with technology in everyday life.
IDC MarketScape technical
"IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Agentic Contact Center"
IDC MarketScape is a third‑party research report that evaluates and ranks technology vendors within a specific market, summarizing each provider’s strengths, weaknesses and market position on an easy‑to‑read visual “map.” Investors treat it like an independent report card to compare competitors, understand who leads or lags, and spot product or market risks and opportunities that can affect company value.
Contact Center-as-a-Service technical
"Worldwide Agentic Contact Center-as-a-Service Platforms"
A contact center-as-a-service is a cloud-delivered platform that provides the software and connectivity companies use to run customer support by phone, chat, email and social media. Think of it as renting a fully equipped, remotely managed customer service office that scales up or down on demand. Investors care because it usually means predictable subscription revenue, lower upfront costs, faster growth potential and measurable effects on operating margins and customer retention.
human-AI collaboration technical
"including human-AI collaboration and governed knowledge management"
Human-AI collaboration is a working relationship where people and software systems share tasks: humans provide judgement, creativity and oversight while AI handles data processing, pattern recognition and repetitive work. For investors it matters because this pairing can boost productivity, reduce errors and create new revenue streams or cost savings—think of AI as a power tool that makes skilled workers faster and more accurate, which can change a company’s growth and risk profile.
governed knowledge management technical

NiCE's unified platform advantage in operationalizing agentic AI across the end-to-end customer journey

Hoboken, N.J., 1 October 2026 – NiCE (Nasdaq: NICE) today announced it has been positioned in the Leaders category in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Agentic Contact Center–as-a-Service Platforms 2026 Vendor Assessment (doc #US54117326, August 2026). We believe NiCE's position underscores the strength of its unified CX AI platform, bringing CXone and NiCE Cognigy together to orchestrate every interaction across AI agents, human agents and enterprise workflows. This unified approach enables organizations to move beyond isolated AI deployments and operationalize agentic AI across the customer journey with the context, governance and scale enterprises require.

The IDC MarketScape recognized NiCE for the following strengths:

•Feedback-driven road map process. A structured approach to incorporating customer feedback and telemetry into the product road map supports a customer-informed innovation narrative.

•Human-AI back-office collaboration and coaching tools. Both are fully supported, reinforcing a well-rounded automation and workforce enablement story that spans the interaction life cycle from AI-assisted efficiency gains in non-real-time workflows to the structured development of agents that handle interactions AI doesn’t fully automate. For buyers evaluating platforms holistically rather than feature by feature, this combination signals that NiCE’s investment in AI extends beyond the live interaction into the broader operational and people management fabric of the contact center.

•Knowledge governance. Full support for versioning, approval workflows, and access control reflects a compliance-ready knowledge management approach suited to regulated or highly structured environments

“As organizations evaluate contact center platforms for the agentic AI era, they need to look beyond individual AI capabilities to how effectively a platform can orchestrate AI and human work across the customer journey,” said Michelle Morgan, Research Manager, AI-Enabled Sales, Customer Service and Contact Center Strategies, IDC. “NiCE’s position as a Leader reflects strengths in areas that are increasingly important to that equation, including human-AI collaboration and governed knowledge management, as enterprises look to operationalize agentic AI across customer experience.”

NiCE continues to advance its strategy to lead the agentic CX era. The company's 2025 acquisition of NiCE Cognigy brought together category-leading conversational and agentic AI with the interaction data, orchestration and enterprise scale of CXone. The result is a unified platform that enables organizations to accelerate AI innovation across voice and digital channels and turn it into measurable customer and business outcomes.

"For technology leaders, the question is no longer simply where to deploy AI, but how to make it a trusted and connected part of customer experience at enterprise scale," said Jeff Comstock, President, CX Product & Technology, NiCE. "We believe our position as a Leader reflects the advantage of one unified CX AI platform, with NiCE Cognigy and CXone bringing together AI agents, human expertise, interactions, data, knowledge and workflows. This gives enterprises the foundation to accelerate AI innovation, orchestrate every interaction and deliver measurable outcomes across the customer journey."

NiCE Named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Contact Center

as a Service. Delivering AI-Powered Customer Service at Enterprise Scale

NiCE redefines the CCaaS era as AI and human agents unite to resolve customer needs across the enterprise

Hoboken, N.J., October 21, 2026 – NiCE (Nasdaq: NICE) today announced it has been named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS). NiCE was placed furthest of any provider for its Completeness of Vision.

The promise of AI has given the contact center a new mandate. As AI agents begin resolving issues end to end, and consumers deploy personal AI agents of their own to interact with brands, enterprises must run AI and human agents together, with the governance and data to do it safely and with success measured in outcomes rather than activity. Enterprises seek a partner that can deliver AI at the scale of CX, with AI agents, human agents, workflows and real-time context working as one system. NiCE helped lead the move to CCaaS and is now leading that next evolution to CX AI.

“We got here by running customer service for the world’s most demanding enterprises for decades, and by building the AI to match it,” said Scott Russell, CEO of NiCE. “The contact center was where customer service lived. It is no longer where it ends. What matters now is one platform, where every interaction is handled by the right agent, human or AI, and every enterprise can run customer service as a single, accountable operation.”

The shift is already visible in NiCE's business. Its AI annual recurring revenue reached $362 million in the second quarter of 2026, up 52% year over year and driven by enterprise deployments rather than pilots, and now represents 15% of cloud revenue. The quarter was also an all-time record for AI bookings, with strong momentum driven by NiCE Cognigy.

Behind those numbers, NiCE Cognigy agentic AI is in production at global enterprises, including:

•Openreach, where AI agents cut missed appointments and inbound contact volumes by one-third

•Toyota, where 95% of customers offered the AI service chose to book directly with an AI agent

•Lufthansa Group, where AI agents handle more than 16 million customer conversations a year

•Tripadvisor, which took AI voice agents from concept to live calls in 2.5 months
