How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Adjusted EBITDA financial
"Adjusted EBITDA was $58.4 million"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
covered lives medical
"1.3 million new covered lives"
Number of people who are enrolled in or eligible for health coverage under a particular insurance plan, managed-care contract, pharmacy benefit manager, or government program. Think of it as the size of the customer base on a company’s health-related contract: larger covered-lives counts mean more potential users for services, prescriptions or claims, and they help investors estimate revenue reach, pricing leverage and growth potential.
member utilization rate medical
"member utilization rate for all fertility and family building services"
days sales outstanding (DSO) financial
"days sales outstanding (DSO)"
Days sales outstanding (DSO) measures the average number of days a company takes to collect payment after making a sale. It matters to investors because it shows how quickly cash comes in: shorter DSO is like being paid promptly after delivering work, supporting smoother cash flow and lower credit risk, while longer DSO can signal slow collections, potential liquidity stress, or weaker payment terms compared with peers.
Revenue $341.3 million Up 8.9% from the third quarter of 2025
Gross profit $83.7 million Up 15% from the third quarter of 2025

Progyny, Inc. Announces Third Quarter 2026 Results
Reports Record Third Quarter Results for Revenue, Gross Profit, Adjusted EBITDA and Net Income
Selling Season Yields Record 1.3 Million New Covered Lives with Another Year of Near 100% Retention
Raises Midpoint of Full Year Guidance Ranges

NEW YORK, November 4, 2026 /GlobeNewswire/ - Progyny, Inc. (Nasdaq: PGNY) (“Progyny” or the “Company”), a global leader in women's health and family building solutions, today announced its financial results for the three-month period ended September 30, 2026 (“the third quarter of 2026”), as compared to the three-month period ended September 30, 2025 (“the third quarter of 2025” or “the prior year period”).

“We're exceptionally pleased with the results of our most recent selling season, where our momentum extended even into its latest stages, yielding 1.3 million new covered lives, our most ever in a single season, and over 85 new clients,” said Pete Anevski, Chief Executive Officer of Progyny. “Beyond new sales activity, our season also focuses on renewing the existing base, where we once again achieved a near 100% retention for 2027 as well as strong demand from those accounts to expand their relationships with us through more comprehensive coverage and the further adoption of our newest services in pregnancy, parenting and menopause support.

“More than ever, these results once again affirm the critical importance of these benefits to employers,” continued Anevski. “We believe the energy and success we're seeing reflect how Progyny remains uniquely positioned to consistently deliver meaningful value and cost trend control to employers, which is particularly impactful given the pressures employers are facing from broader medical cost inflation.

“As we look into next year, we believe we're well-positioned to extend this momentum into 2027, as we're exiting the year with our strongest ever set-up in terms of our number of opportunities and the overall size and quality of the pipeline, as our demonstrated ability to effectively bend the cost curve positions us well for continued success.”

“We achieved strong top- and bottom-line growth this quarter, reflecting that member engagement was consistent with our expectations, and we are pleased to be in a position to raise the midpoint of our full year guidance,” said Mark Livingston, Chief Financial Officer of Progyny. “In addition to the strong results this quarter, we continued to maintain a high conversion of Adjusted EBITDA to operating cash flow, which has provided us with the flexibility to continue investing in our platform while also returning value to shareholders through the repurchase of nearly 11 million shares this year.”

2.Adjusted Earnings per Diluted Share, Adjusted EBITDA, and Adjusted EBITDA margin are financial measures that are not required by, or presented in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP"). Please see Annex A of this press release for a reconciliation of Adjusted Earnings per Diluted Share to earnings per share, and Adjusted EBITDA to net income, the most directly comparable financial measures stated in accordance with GAAP for each of the periods presented. We calculate Adjusted Earnings per Diluted Share as net income per diluted share excluding the impact of stock-based compensation, adjusted for the impact of taxes. We calculate Adjusted EBITDA margin as Adjusted EBITDA divided by revenue.

Financial Highlights
Revenue was $341.3 million, an 8.9% increase as compared to the $313.3 million reported in the third quarter of 2025, due to an increase in the number of clients and covered lives.
•Fertility benefit services revenue was $223.4 million, a 10.6% increase from the $201.9 million reported in the third quarter of 2025.
•Pharmacy benefit services revenue was $117.9 million, a 5.8% increase as compared to the $111.4 million reported in the third quarter of 2025.

Gross profit was $83.7 million, an increase of 15% from the $72.8 million reported in the third quarter of 2025, reflecting ongoing efficiencies realized in the delivery of our care management services as well as a decrease in stock-based compensation expense. Gross margin was 24.5%, as compared to 23.2% reported in the prior year.

Net income was $26.3 million, or $0.32 income per diluted share, as compared to the $13.9 million, or $0.15 income per diluted share, reported in the third quarter of 2025. The higher net income was due primarily to the higher gross profit and lower stock-based compensation expense, which was partially offset by lower interest and other income, net.

Adjusted EBITDA was $58.4 million, an increase of 6.3% as compared to the $55.0 million reported in the third quarter of 2025, as the higher gross profit was partially offset by planned investments to expand the features and functionality of our platform. Adjusted EBITDA margin was 17.1% as compared to the 17.5% Adjusted EBITDA margin in the third quarter of 2025. Refer to Annex A for a reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA to net income.

Cash Flow
Net cash provided by operating activities in the third quarter of 2026 was $56.6 million, as compared to $50.7 million in the prior year period. Cash flow reflects the timing impact of certain working capital items in both periods.

Balance Sheet and Financial Position
As of September 30, 2026, the Company had total working capital of approximately $224.4 million and no debt. This included cash and cash equivalents and marketable securities of $195.6 million, a decrease of $41.3 million from the balances as of June 30, 2026, as the operating cash flow generated was offset by share repurchase activity during the quarter. The Company's $200 million revolving credit facility remains undrawn, and the Company has no planned use for the facility at this time.

Share Repurchase Activity
During the third quarter of 2026, the Company repurchased nearly 3 million shares of its common stock for a total cost of $82.7 million through its May 2026 share repurchase program, which provided for a total authorization of up to $200 million. To date, the Company has repurchased nearly 5.5 million shares of its common stock under this most recent program, and approximately $51 million remains under the existing authorization. In combination with its predecessor program which began in November 2025 and concluded earlier this year, the Company has now repurchased nearly 11 million shares thus far in 2026, and approximately 14.3 million shares overall since November 2025.

Financial Outlook
As the fourth quarter begins, member activity continues to remain healthy. In light of the strong results over the first nine months of the year, as well as our expectations for member engagement over the remainder of the year, we're raising the midpoint of our full year guidance.

The majority of the clients and lives added in the most recent selling season are expected to go live in the first quarter of 2027, though a meaningful number of lives are expected to launch mid-year. In addition, a number of the newest clients have already launched their benefit in 2026. Once all new clients are live in 2027, the Company anticipates having in excess of 660 clients, representing approximately 8.3 million covered lives.

As it relates to 2027, consistent with past practice, the Company anticipates providing financial guidance when it reports its year-end results in February. The Company is providing the following financial guidance for both the three-month and full year periods ending December 31, 2026.

Some of the limitations of Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, and Adjusted earnings per diluted share include: (1) it does not properly reflect capital commitments to be paid in the future; (2) although depreciation and amortization are non-cash charges, the underlying assets may need to be replaced and Adjusted EBITDA does not reflect these capital expenditures; (3) it does not consider the impact of stock-based compensation expense; (4) it does not reflect other non-operating income and expenses, including interest and other income, net; and (5) it does not reflect tax payments that may represent a reduction in cash available to us. In addition, our non-GAAP measures may not be comparable to similarly titled measures of other companies because they may not calculate such measures in the same manner as we calculate these measures, limiting their usefulness as comparative measures. Because of these limitations, when evaluating our performance, you should consider Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, and Adjusted earnings per diluted share alongside other financial performance measures, including our net income, gross margin, and our other GAAP results.

5

We calculate Adjusted EBITDA as net income, adjusted to exclude depreciation and amortization; stock-based compensation expense; interest and other income, net; and provision for income taxes. We calculate Adjusted EBITDA margin as Adjusted EBITDA divided by revenue. We calculate Adjusted earnings per diluted share as net income per diluted share excluding the impact of stock-based compensation, adjusted for the associated impact of taxes. Please see Annex A: “Reconciliation of GAAP to Non-GAAP Financial Measures” elsewhere in this press release.

Forward-looking statements represent our management’s beliefs and assumptions only as of the date of this presentation. Our actual future results could differ materially from what we expect. Except as required by law, we assume no obligation to update these forward-looking statements publicly, or to update the reasons. Non-GAAP Financial Measures: In addition to disclosing financial measures prepared in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”), this presentation and the accompanying tables include the non-GAAP financial measures Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, and Adjusted earnings per diluted share. Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, and Adjusted earnings per diluted share are supplemental financial measures that are not required by, or presented in accordance with, GAAP. We believe that these non-GAAP measures, when taken together with our GAAP financial results, provide meaningful supplemental information regarding our operating performance and facilitates internal comparisons of our historical operating performance on a more consistent basis by excluding certain items that may not be indicative of our business, results of operations or outlook. In particular, we believe that the use of Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, and Adjusted earnings per diluted share are helpful to our investors as they are measures used by management in assessing the health of our business, determining incentive compensation, evaluating our operating performance, and for internal planning and forecasting purposes. Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, and Adjusted earnings per diluted share are presented for supplemental informational purposes only, have limitations as analytical tools and should not be considered in isolation or as a substitute for financial information presented in accordance with GAAP. Please see the Appendix “Reconciliation of GAAP to Non-GAAP Financial Measures” and “Reconciliation of Non-GAAP Financial Guidance” in this presentation.
