On October 29, 2026, PROG paid that amount to the bank in exchange for an initial delivery of approximately 2.59 million shares. accelerated share repurchase program financial
"entered into an accelerated share repurchase program"
An accelerated share repurchase program is a way for a company to buy back its own shares quickly, often in a matter of days or weeks. It typically involves the company paying a financial firm to buy shares on its behalf, which can help boost the company's stock price and reduce the number of shares available to investors. This process is important because it can influence share value and signal confidence in the company's future.
volume-weighted average prices financial
"based on the volume-weighted average prices"
Volume-weighted average price (VWAP) is the average trading price of a stock over a set period, where each trade’s price is weighted by how many shares were exchanged, so large trades influence the average more than small ones. Investors and traders use VWAP like a yardstick to judge whether a trade occurred at a good price relative to the market overall, similar to comparing the average price per pound when shopping where bigger purchases shift the average.
Repurchase Price financial
"aggregate of $100 million (the “Repurchase Price”)"
Repurchase price is the amount a company or counterparty pays to buy back a security, typically a share of stock or a bond, from the holder. Think of it like a store offering to buy back a product at a set sticker price; that number tells investors how much cash the seller will receive and how much the buyer must spend. It matters because the repurchase price affects a company’s cash position, the number of shares outstanding and therefore per-share earnings and ownership percentages, so it can change the value and returns for existing investors.
