Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Soluna Holdings, Inc. (SLNH) announced that it has closed the purchase of 397 acres in Briscoe County, Texas. The site will host Project Dorothy 3, a planned renewable-first AI computing campus with potential capacity of up to 300 MW.

The newly acquired land sits adjacent to Soluna’s existing Projects Dorothy 1 and 2 and to the 150 MW Briscoe Wind Farm, which the company acquired in April. The wind farm’s substation is directly across from the property, positioning Dorothy 3 for direct, behind-the-meter access to power that Soluna owns.

Soluna states that the 397 acres exceeds the 300 acres originally identified for the campus, giving room to add data halls if additional generation or storage becomes available. Project Dorothy 3 is part of a development pipeline of approximately 6.3 GW, and Soluna currently operates about 192 MW of energized capacity.

Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock financial
"9.0% Series A Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, par value $0.001"
A cumulative perpetual preferred stock is a share that acts like a long-lasting hybrid between a bond and a dividend-paying stock: it promises regular fixed payments that, if missed, accumulate and must be paid later before common shareholders get dividends, and it has no set maturity date. Investors care because it can provide steady, higher-priority income similar to interest, but with limited capital upside, sensitivity to interest rates, and the risk that payments can be delayed even though they continue to accrue.
behind-the-meter access technical
"positioning Dorothy 3 for direct, behind-the-meter access to generation"
energized capacity technical
"Soluna currently operates approximately 192 MW of energized capacity"
Energized capacity is the amount of electrical generation, storage, or transmission capacity that is physically connected and able to produce or carry power under normal operating conditions, usually expressed in megawatts (MW) or megawatt-hours (MWh). For investors it indicates how much usable power an asset can deliver or dispatch—like the number of lanes open on a highway determining traffic flow—so it affects potential revenue, contractual delivery ability, and reliability assessments.
development pipeline financial
"Project Dorothy 3 is part of Soluna’s development pipeline of approximately 6.3 GW"
A development pipeline is the collection of products, drugs, or projects a company is actively creating, shown by the stage each one is in from early research to final approval or launch. For investors it acts like a roadmap of future revenue potential and risk—similar to a restaurant’s planned menu items at different stages of testing—because items farther along are likelier to generate sales while earlier-stage projects carry more uncertainty and longer timelines.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"This announcement contains forward-looking statements. These statements are made under"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.

Soluna Closes Purchase of 397 Acres for Project Dorothy 3

Briscoe County, Texas, site sits adjacent to company-owned wind farm and will

host planned 300 MW renewable-first AI campus

ALBANY, NY, August 24, 2026 - Soluna Holdings, Inc. (“Soluna” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: SLNH), a developer of green data centers for intensive computing applications, including AI and Bitcoin mining, today announced it has closed the purchase of 397 acres in Briscoe County, Texas. The land will host Project Dorothy 3, Soluna’s planned renewable-first AI computing campus with a potential capacity of up to 300 MW.

The parcel sits adjacent to Projects Dorothy 1 and 2 and to the 150 MW Briscoe Wind Farm, which Soluna acquired in April. The Briscoe Wind Farm’s Substation sits directly across from the acquired property, positioning Dorothy 3 for direct, behind-the-meter access to generation the Company owns outright.

“Customers evaluating AI sites want to know how quickly we can get them to power,” said John Belizaire, CEO of Soluna. “Owning this land takes one more variable out of that answer. Dorothy 3 is a site we control end to end, and that is what turns a development project into something a customer can plan around.”

The 397 acres exceed the 300 acres Soluna originally identified for the campus. The additional land gives the Company room to add data halls should further generation or storage capacity become available at the site.

Project Dorothy 3 is part of Soluna’s development pipeline of approximately 6.3 GW across multiple sites. Soluna currently operates approximately 192 MW of energized capacity.
