Rhea-AI Filing Summary

Veeva Systems Inc. expects third-quarter fiscal 2027 results to meet or exceed the guidance it issued on August 26, 2026. At its November 5, 2026 Investor Day, Chief Financial Officer Brian Van Wagener presented that outlook. It lists total revenue of $932–$935 million, subscription revenue of approximately $782 million, services revenue of $150–$153 million, non-GAAP operating income of $417–$420 million, and non-GAAP fully diluted net income per share of $2.33–$2.34. The guidance relates to the quarter ended October 31, 2026; these figures are targets, not reported quarterly results.

The outlook assumed foreign exchange rates stayed near current levels, which Veeva said reflected an immaterial impact to total revenue and non-GAAP operating income compared with the third quarter of fiscal 2026. The company said it could not provide GAAP operating income and fully diluted net income-per-share targets because certain items excluded from the non-GAAP measures, including stock-based compensation expense, could not be reasonably predicted. Veeva said the effect of those excluded items may be significant.

Non-GAAP Operating Income financial
"Non-GAAP Operating Income $417-420 million"
Non-GAAP operating income is a measure of a company's profit from its core business activities, calculated by excluding certain expenses or income that are not part of regular operations. It provides a clearer picture of how well the business is performing by focusing on ongoing operations, helping investors compare companies more consistently and make better-informed decisions.
Non-GAAP Fully Diluted Net Income per Share financial
"Non-GAAP Fully Diluted Net Income per Share $2.33-2.34"
foreign exchange rates financial
"foreign exchange rates stayed near current levels"
Foreign exchange rates are the prices at which one country’s currency can be exchanged for another, like a price tag showing how many euros you get for one dollar. They matter to investors because they change the value of overseas earnings, investment returns and import/export costs — small swings can raise or cut profits and portfolio values much like a change in fuel price alters a travel budget.
stock-based compensation expense financial
"such as charges related to stock-based compensation expense"
Stock-based compensation expense is the value that a company records when it gives employees or executives shares or options to buy shares as part of their pay. It matters because it shows the true cost of paying employees this way, which can affect the company's profits and how investors see its financial health.
Total revenue $932–$935 million
Subscription revenue Approximately $782 million
Services revenue $150–$153 million
Non-GAAP operating income $417–$420 million
Non-GAAP fully diluted net income per share $2.33–$2.34

Our Q3’27 guidance assumed foreign exchange rates stayed near current levels, which reflected an immaterial impact to total revenue and non-GAAP operating income compared to Q3’26. We were not able to provide GAAP targets for operating income and fully diluted net income per share for the third quarter ended October 31, 2026 because of the difficulty of estimating certain items excluded from non-GAAP operating income and non-GAAP fully diluted net income per share that could not be reasonably predicted, such as charges related to stock-based compensation expense. The effect of these excluded items may be significant. Guidance
