Item 8.01 Other Events

On September 25, 2025, Washington Federal Bank, dba WaFd Bank (the “Bank”), the wholly owned subsidiary of WaFd, Inc., changed the Bank’s name from “Washington Federal Bank” to “WaFd Bank” (the “Name Change”) by filing a Certificate of Restatement of its Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation with the Washington Secretary of State (the “WA SOS”).  The Name Change became effective on September 25, 2025.  In connection with the Name Change, the Bank also filed its Second Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation, reflecting its new name, with the WA SOS.
