About Blueknight Egy

NASDAQ

Blueknight Energy Partners, L.P. was a master limited partnership associated with the former Nasdaq symbols BKEP for common units and BKEPP for preferred units. The partnership owned and operated asphalt storage, terminalling, logistics, and related infrastructure in the United States. Its business centered on providing integrated terminalling solutions for infrastructure and transportation end markets that use liquid asphalt.

Blueknight described itself as the owner of the largest independent asphalt terminalling network in the country. Its operations included 9.0 million barrels of liquid asphalt storage capacity across 54 terminals in 26 states. The asset base gave the partnership a network of storage and logistics facilities serving customers that require asphalt handling, terminal access, and infrastructure support across multiple U.S. markets.

As a master limited partnership, Blueknight's public security structure was based on common units and preferred units rather than conventional corporate shares. Its public-company communications included quarterly cash distributions to both common and preferred unitholders, tax package availability for unitholders, and operating and financial results tied to its terminal network.

Blueknight repositioned its business around asphalt infrastructure after exiting the crude oil business. The partnership also reported a refinanced credit facility, completed asphalt terminal and industrial park acquisition activity, and organic expansion work before the business was sold. The BKEP symbol therefore represents a former publicly traded partnership whose historical operating identity was U.S. asphalt storage, logistics, and terminal infrastructure.
