Rhea AI SABR FY2025

FY2025 profit improved through cost control and deleveraging, but cash conversion reversed as reported earnings stopped turning into cash.

Between FY2023 and FY2025, operating margin rose from 1.2% to 10.7% even as gross margin slipped from 59.3% to 56.4%; that combination points to lower overhead, not stronger unit economics, as the main source of recovery. The sharper signal is earnings quality: FY2025 showed $525M of net income but -$109M of operating cash flow and -$192M of free cash flow, reversing FY2024's $70M of operating cash flow.

The balance sheet is still upside down: liabilities exceed assets by about $1.0B, so even after the profit rebound the company remains more reliant on liability management than on book equity for financial flexibility. Long-term debt fell by roughly $732M in FY2025, which helps, but negative equity means that progress is coming from debt reduction rather than a rebuilt capital base.

Liquidity is serviceable but thin: the current ratio stayed near 1.1x in FY2024 and FY2025, leaving limited short-term cushion if cash use continues. Revenue grew only 1.0% in FY2025, yet SG&A fell by about $19M and operating income rose by about $54M, reinforcing that recent margin expansion has been cost-led rather than volume-led.

Scored against operating companies for FY2025. Health score ≠ stock price. This rates the quality of Sabre Corp's business: profitability, growth, balance sheet strength. It doesn't tell you whether the stock is a good buy at today's price. Not financial advice. Use it alongside valuation analysis and your own research.

Profitability
49

Sabre Corp has an operating margin of 10.7%, meaning the company retains $11 of operating profit per $100 of revenue. This results in a moderate score of 49/100, indicating healthy but not exceptional operating efficiency. This is up from 8.8% the prior year.

Growth
40

Sabre Corp's revenue grew a modest 1.0% year-over-year to $2.8B. This slow but positive growth earns a score of 40/100.

Leverage
6
Liquidity
22

Sabre Corp's current ratio of 1.07 is below the typical benchmark, resulting in a score of 22/100. However, the company holds substantial cash reserves (65% of current liabilities), which buffers actual liquidity risk. Large mature operators often run tight current ratios by design.

Cash Flow
21

Sabre Corp's operations used $108.9M of cash, and capex of $82.9M added to the outflow, for a free cash flow shortfall of $191.8M. This results in a cash flow score of 21/100.

Returns
41
Altman Z-Score Distress
-0.24

Sabre Corp scores -0.24, below the 1.81 distress threshold. The score is driven primarily by a large market capitalization ($847.5M) relative to total liabilities ($5.5B). This indicates elevated financial distress risk and warrants close attention to liquidity and debt levels.

Distress-screening estimate for non-financial companies. Not computed for banks or insurers, where the Altman model does not apply.

Piotroski F-Score Neutral
5/9

Sabre Corp passes 5 of 9 financial strength tests. 2 of 4 profitability signals pass, 2 of 3 leverage/liquidity signals pass, 1 of 2 efficiency signals pass.

Earnings Quality No Cash Backing

For every $1 of reported earnings, Sabre Corp used $0.21 of operating cash (-$108.9M OCF vs $524.6M net income). Earnings that no cash stands behind rest on accounting accruals, which cannot be repeated indefinitely.
