Sun Country’s dominant mechanic is revenue growth being absorbed by rising operating costs, while capital spending makes free cash flow volatile.
FY2025 revenue rose4.7% , yet operating income fell5.1% , showing growth was absorbed rather than converted into more operating profit. SG&A growth of14.0% coincided with operating margin narrowing to8.9% , tying the squeeze to overhead expansion rather than weaker sales alone.
Operating cash flow of
The current ratio recovered to 0.8x in FY2025 from 0.6x in FY2024 but stayed below parity, so short-term obligations still exceeded current assets. Meanwhile, debt-to-equity fell from 0.6x in FY2022 to 0.4x in FY2025 while liabilities remained broadly stable, implying improved solvency came mainly from equity accumulation rather than a wholesale debt exit.
