Top Industrials Stocks by Net Income
Top industrials companies ranked by net income, latest annual filings.
What Net Income Means for Industrials Companies
Net income in industrials breathes with the economic cycle. Backlogs, order intake, and factory utilization translate into reported profit with a lag, so a peak earnings year often coincides with the end of a capex upswing rather than the start of one. Because plant, equipment, and warranty reserves sit heavily on the income statement, a single year's profit rarely captures through-cycle earning power.
Why It Matters Less in Industrials
Operating leverage works both ways here: incremental volume flows powerfully to profit when utilization is high, and disappears just as quickly when demand softens. Firms that earn stable profit across downturns typically hold strong aftermarket service streams, long-dated service contracts, or diversified end markets. Restructuring charges and pension mark-to-market adjustments can also distort any single period, so multi-year averages are a more honest gauge than a snapshot.

How this ranking is built
Companies are ranked by net income as reported in their most recent annual filing with the SEC. Figures shown are in US dollars (or percent, as noted), rounded to two decimals.
- Source: annual 10-K / 20-F filings from companies trading on US exchanges (NYSE, Nasdaq, AMEX).
- Fiscal year: whichever annual period the company has most recently filed. Fiscal years don't always align with the calendar year, so the "as of FY" stamp above reflects the most common year across the table.
- Filtered out: warrants, preferred shares, and duplicate listings that share a parent company's financials.
- Update cadence: refreshed as companies file new annual reports (typically within 60–90 days of fiscal year end).
