Most notably, Woodward served as Chief Executive Officer of Blueknight (NASDAQ: BKEP), an independent operator of the largest network of asphalt storage, logistics, and infrastructure in the country. He led the company through a strategic repositioning, operational and commercial improvements, and financial strengthening that ultimately culminated in the successful sale of the business and a strong outcome for its shareholders and stakeholders. Prior to Blueknight, Woodward served as Principal Financial Officer of Andeavor Logistics, L.P., now part of Marathon Petroleum’s logistics business, MPLX LP. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets, advising energy, infrastructure, and industrial companies.
