Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

GoldMining (GLDG) appointed Alexandre Soares Pimenta as Project Director to lead the next phase of advancement at São Jorge in Brazil. The project is 100%-owned and located in Pará State. Pimenta brings more than 25 years of experience in mining, engineering and industrial project development.

The company is initiating pre-feasibility technical and engineering work to evaluate requirements for a potential future development decision. A proposed infill diamond drilling program using multiple rigs is in its final preparation stages to improve deposit definition.

The previously announced preliminary economic assessment modelled US$532 million in after-tax net present value at a 5% discount rate and a 42.4% after-tax internal rate of return, assuming gold at US$3,500 per ounce. It envisaged average annual production of 51,250 ounces over 10.6 years. These preliminary economics include inferred resources and are not certain to be realized.

How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

6 terms
preliminary economic assessment technical
"previously completed preliminary economic assessment"
A preliminary economic assessment is an initial analysis that estimates the potential profitability and feasibility of a project or resource, such as a new mineral deposit or development venture. It provides a rough idea of costs, benefits, and risks, helping investors decide whether to pursue more detailed studies. This early evaluation is important because it offers a snapshot of whether the project is worth further investment and development.
infill diamond drilling technical
"infill diamond drilling designed to support further evaluation"
Drilling that uses diamond-tipped coring equipment to drill new holes between previously completed holes, increasing the spacing density of subsurface samples so the continuity, grade and geometry of a mineral deposit can be defined more precisely; it is used to convert broader, lower-confidence exploration results into higher-confidence resource classifications and to provide continuous rock core for detailed geological, structural and assay information.
net present value financial
"net present value at a 5% discount rate"
Net present value is a way to measure the value of a future amount of money today. It considers how money available in the future is worth less than money now because of potential earning opportunities or inflation. Investors use it to decide whether an investment is worthwhile, aiming for projects with positive net present value, meaning they are expected to generate more value than they cost.
internal rate of return financial
"after-tax internal rate of return ("IRR") of 42.4%"
A percentage that represents the annualized yield an investment would earn, taking into account the timing and amount of all cash inflows and outflows; mathematically it is the rate that makes the discounted sum of future cash flows equal the initial cost. Investors use it to compare different projects or deals the way they compare interest rates — a higher internal rate of return suggests a stronger potential payoff, but it does not by itself show risk, scale, or timing nuances.
inferred mineral resources technical
"includes inferred mineral resources"
An inferred mineral resource is an estimate of the quantity and grade of minerals in the ground based on limited sampling and geological information, where confidence is low and continuity is uncertain. For investors it signals potential value but also higher risk—like a rough sketch of a hidden treasure that requires much more exploration and testing before you can reliably judge its size or economic worth.
ni 43-101 regulatory
"as defined in National Instrument 43-101"
A Canadian regulatory standard that sets the rules for how mining and exploration companies must report mineral resources and reserves, requiring technical reports prepared or signed off by an independent, certified expert. It matters to investors because it creates a consistent, transparent “inspection report” for mining projects, making it easier to compare prospects, judge the reliability of claims, and assess geological and financial risk before investing.

About São Jorge

The São Jorge Gold Project is located in the Tapajós gold district in Pará State, Brazil, adjacent to regional highway BR-163. It is a granite-hosted, intrusion-related gold mineral system that is similar in style to the Tocantinzinho gold mine, located approximately 80 km to the northwest, which commenced commercial production in 2024 and produced 171,871 ounces of gold in 2025. Operational results at the Tocantinzinho gold mine are not necessarily indicative of mineralization at São Jorge.

On June 11, 2026, the Company announced a PEA for São Jorge that envisaged a conventional open-pit operation and gravity/leach circuit processing 5,500 tonnes per day ("tpd") (1.9 million tonnes per annum ("Mtpa")) over a 10.6-year mine life. The PEA modelled a base case after-tax net present value at a 5% discount rate ("NPV5%") of US$532 million and an after-tax internal rate of return ("IRR") of 42.4%, utilizing a base case gold price of US$3,500 per ounce ("oz"), supported by a stable production profile averaging 51,250 oz of gold annually.

The PEA is preliminary in nature and includes inferred mineral resources, which are considered too speculative geologically to have the economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be categorized as Mineral Reserves. There is no certainty that the PEA, including the conceptual economics set out therein, will be realized.

Further information about the PEA referenced in this news release, including information in respect of data verification, key assumptions, parameters, risks and other factors, can be found in the technical report titled "NI 43-101 Technical Report and Preliminary Economic Assessment, São Jorge Project, Pará State, Brazil" with an effective date of June 9, 2026 (the "Technical Report"), which is available under the Company's profile on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca.
