COVINGTON, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Globalstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSAT), a next-generation telecommunications infrastructure and technology provider, today announces that construction has commenced to expand the size of the ground station in Singapore to support its third-generation C-3 mobile satellite system (MSS).

Singtel has hosted Globalstar’s ground station facilities in Singapore since 2008. The announced construction will add two additional 6-meter tracking antennas that will support Globalstar’s C-3 mobile satellite system and expanded service offerings across Southeast Asia.

The additions in Singapore are the next iteration in a sweeping global expansion of approximately 90 new tracking antennas, with current in-motion deployments at Globalstar’s flagship station in Texas, and international upgrades in Spain and Japan.
