full-power television markets technical
"We serve 117 full-power television markets"
Full-power television markets are areas served by licensed TV stations that operate at higher transmitter strength and coverage, reaching most homes in a region rather than a small neighborhood. For investors, these markets matter because stations with full-power status command larger audiences and stronger carriage and advertising rights—similar to a full-size retail store versus a small kiosk—affecting potential revenue, regulatory obligations, and the value of broadcast assets.
average all-day ratings technical
"in average all-day ratings across the 116 of such markets"
Average all-day ratings measure the typical size of a TV audience across an entire broadcast day by averaging viewership or ratings points over all dayparts (morning, daytime, prime, late night). For investors, it shows how many people a channel or program reaches on a regular day—similar to counting foot traffic in a store over a whole day—which helps gauge advertising reach, revenue potential, and competitive audience trends.
