Sentiment and the balance of points

Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Partnership kicks off with a chance for schools and districts to win a MagicSchool subscription credit, 90-day pilots, and more

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Horace Mann (NYSE: HMN) and MagicSchool announced a strategic partnership to help educators reclaim valuable time and focus more on students by expanding access to practical, responsible AI tools designed specifically for schools.

According to Pew Research Center, 84% of U.S. public K–12 teachers say they do not have enough time during regular work hours to complete tasks such as grading, lesson planning, paperwork and answering emails. The partnership brings together Horace Mann's longstanding commitment to educators with MagicSchool's AI-powered tools to help address these everyday challenges.

Together, the companies are launching the MagicSchool and Horace Mann District Sweepstakes Oct. 29 through Dec. 4, giving six U.S. school communities the opportunity to access MagicSchool's AI platform and resources to help educators use AI effectively and responsibly.

One grand-prize winner will receive up to $25,000 in credit toward a one-year MagicSchool district subscription, one hour of virtual professional development and a staff lunch. Five runners-up will each receive a 90-day MagicSchool pilot and a lunch voucher.

“Educators are being asked to do more than ever,” said Steve Chauby, Chief Marketing and Distribution Officer, Horace Mann. “Horace Mann is committed to helping educators succeed in and out of the classroom. Our partnership with MagicSchool gives schools more tools and support that can help teachers spend less time on administrative work and more time with their students.”

Built by educators for schools, MagicSchool helps teachers with everyday tasks like lesson planning, differentiation, assessment creation and student feedback, while giving school leaders the safeguards and oversight needed to support responsible AI use.

“Teachers have no shortage of ideas for their classrooms, but what they often need is more time to bring those ideas to life,” said Adeel Khan, Founder and CEO, MagicSchool. “Horace Mann shares our commitment to supporting educators, and we're excited to work together to bring practical AI tools and guidance to more schools. We want teachers to feel confident exploring what AI can make possible for them and their students.”
