Key Terms

non-human identities technical
Non-human identities are legal or digital identities assigned to machines, software agents, Internet-of-Things devices, or automated accounts so they can act, communicate, and be tracked separately from people. For investors this matters because these identities affect who is legally responsible, how transactions are authenticated, and how automated systems impact revenue or liability — think of them like a licensed driver’s license or bank account for a robot or software agent.
mesh security architectures technical
Mesh security architectures are network designs where security controls are distributed across many interconnected nodes rather than centralized in a single gateway. Like a neighborhood watch with many vigilant households instead of one guard at the gate, this approach helps contain breaches, enforce policies, and secure traffic between applications or devices; investors pay attention because it affects a company’s cyber risk profile, compliance costs, and the scalability of cloud or IoT deployments.
risk-based vulnerability management technical
A systematic approach to finding and fixing security weaknesses that ranks each issue by how likely it is to be exploited and how much damage it would cause, so teams fix the most important problems first. For investors, it matters because it reduces the chance of costly data breaches, operational disruption, regulatory penalties and reputational harm, signaling stronger risk management and protecting company value like patching major leaks before minor drips.
extended detection and response technical
An extended detection and response (XDR) system is a cybersecurity solution that collects security data from devices, networks and cloud services, links those signals to spot sophisticated attacks, and automatically helps contain them. Think of it as a coordinated security team that sees the whole property instead of separate guards watching only one door. Investors care because XDR can lower the chance and cost of breaches, improve operational continuity and be a key growth area for security vendors.

Organizations adopt strategic security approaches to strengthen resilience, support business growth and address evolving risks, ISG Provider Lens® report says

SÃO PAULO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Brazilian enterprises are shifting from reactive cybersecurity practices to strategic approaches designed to build trust and create business value, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens® Cybersecurity — Services and Solutions report for Brazil finds that organizations are treating cybersecurity as a core business function rather than primarily a protective measure. This transition comes as they contend with record levels of malicious activity while expanding digital services, cloud adoption and connected infrastructure. While cybersecurity investment has historically lagged the country's growing digital exposure, the combination of widespread digitalization and emerging risks is creating opportunities for locally developed cybersecurity solutions tailored to Brazil's unique operating environment.

"Brazilian organizations increasingly recognize that cybersecurity must anticipate threats instead of simply responding to them," said Doug Saylors, partner and head of ISG Cybersecurity, Cloud and Infrastructure. "Enterprises are making security an integral part of business strategy as they strengthen resilience across increasingly digital operations."

The rapid expansion of the Pix digital payment system, 5G networks and cloud-based government services is exposing Brazilian organizations to new cybersecurity risks. Enterprises are strengthening protection for critical sectors including finance, healthcare and energy while adapting security strategies to increasingly interconnected digital ecosystems. Many organizations are also preparing for emerging threats associated with AI and quantum computing to improve long-term cyber resilience.

Companies are modernizing security operations with continuous monitoring, AI-assisted threat analysis and faster incident response. Many organizations are reducing reliance on manual processes by prioritizing vulnerabilities according to business impact and improving operational efficiency. These measures help enterprises respond more effectively despite budget constraints and talent shortages.

Brazilian enterprises are also placing greater emphasis on securing enterprise AI deployments as generative AI becomes part of everyday business operations. Organizations are adopting stronger oversight of AI applications to reduce the risk of sensitive data exposure while establishing more structured vulnerability management practices. These efforts help organizations balance operational efficiency with stronger protection for business-critical information, ISG says.

"The organizations achieving the strongest security outcomes are those that combine strategic planning with disciplined execution," said João Mauro, lead author of the report. "Service providers in Brazil contribute specialized expertise that helps enterprises build sustainable cybersecurity capabilities as technologies and threats continue to evolve."

The report also explores other cybersecurity trends affecting organizations in Brazil, including an increasing focus on managing autonomous AI agents and non-human identities and growing adoption of Mesh security architectures to strengthen protection for increasingly connected digital environments.

The report evaluates 71 providers across six quadrants: Strategic Security Services, Technical Security Services, Next-Gen SOC/MDR Services (Large Accounts), Next-Gen SOC/MDR Services (Midmarket), Risk-based Vulnerability Management and Extended Detection and Response.

The report names ISH Tecnologia as a Leader in five quadrants. It names Accenture, EY, IBM, Logicalis and Stefanini as Leaders in four quadrants each. Capgemini, Deloitte and NTT DATA are named as Leaders in three quadrants each. Agility, Edge UOL, Kyndryl and PwC are named as Leaders in two quadrants each. The report names Broadcom, Cipher, CrowdStrike, iT.eam, Kaspersky, KPMG, Microsoft, SEK, TIVIT, Trend Micro, T-Systems, Unisys, Vortex Security and Vultus as Leaders in one quadrant each.

In addition, Asper, Clavis and FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES are recognized as Rising Stars — companies with a “promising portfolio” and “high future potential” by ISG’s definition — in two quadrants each. BluePex, Scunna, TCS and T-Systems are recognized as Rising Stars in one quadrant each.

Customized versions of the report are available from Huge Networks, Kaspersky, Scunna, TBRsafe and Vortex.
