Key Terms

agentic ai technical
Agentic AI refers to computer systems that can make their own decisions and take actions without needing someone to tell them what to do each time. It's like giving a robot a degree of independence to solve problems or achieve goals on its own, which matters because it could change how we work and interact with technology in everyday life.
5g standalone technical
5G standalone is a mobile network built entirely on native 5G core and radio technology rather than relying on older 4G systems — like constructing a new end-to-end highway designed for modern traffic instead of adding lanes to an old road. It matters to investors because it unlocks lower delays, greater capacity and flexible virtual “lanes” for different business uses, which can drive new services, higher device demand and different capital and revenue dynamics for carriers and equipment makers.
cloud-native technical
Cloud-native describes a way of creating and running applications that are designed specifically to operate smoothly on cloud computing platforms. Think of it as building a house with flexible, lightweight materials that can be easily moved, scaled, or adjusted as needed, rather than using rigid, traditional construction. For investors, it signifies technology that is more adaptable, efficient, and capable of quickly responding to changing market demands.
kpis technical
Key performance indicators (KPIs) are specific, measurable metrics a company uses to track how well it is reaching important goals, like sales growth, profit margins, customer retention, or production speed. They matter to investors because KPIs act like a company’s dashboard gauges—showing whether management’s strategy is working, signaling trends or problems early, and helping predict future earnings and risks that affect the value of an investment.
service assurance technical
Service assurance is the set of processes and tools that ensure a company’s services work reliably and meet promised performance levels, like a maintenance routine that keeps a car running smoothly. For investors it matters because consistent, fast, and compliant service reduces customer churn, avoids fines or costly fixes, and supports predictable revenue and growth—factors that directly affect a company’s value and risk profile.
lab automation technical
Lab automation is the use of machines, software and robotics to carry out routine laboratory tasks—like handling samples, running tests and recording results—so people don’t have to do every step by hand. For investors it matters because automation can lower ongoing costs, increase testing speed and consistency, and allow a company to scale its output more predictably—similar to how an assembly line boosts production and reliability in a factory.
core network technical
The core network is the central system that connects users, devices and services and directs their data and calls, acting like a city’s highway hub that manages traffic flow and access points. For investors, it matters because this backbone determines a provider’s capacity, reliability, and ability to add new services; its design and upgrades drive capital spending, recurring costs and potential revenue growth, so changes can affect profitability and competitive position.

Spirent Luma enables faster automated troubleshooting, clearer guidance, and consistent expert-level interpretation of complex testing data to save time and eliminate guesswork

HOLMDEL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Spirent Communications, now part of Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS), a leading provider of test and assurance solutions for next-generation devices and networks, today announced Spirent Luma, an integrated agentic AI solution for network testing and assurance. Purpose-built and domain-trained on Spirent’s decades of network testing expertise, Luma is designed to help customers interpret results more quickly, troubleshoot faster, and reduce reliance on scarce expert knowledge to resolve increasingly complex network issues.

Initially available for Spirent’s market-leading core network test platform Landslide, Luma integrates directly into customers’ testing workflows, allowing teams to work faster, without changing how they operate. Unlike generic AI solutions that require users to interpret results manually or adopt separate external tools, Luma is embedded directly within Landslide, enabling it to operate inside secure lab environments and apply AI where complexity and decision pressure are highest.

"As networks evolve toward 5G Standalone, slicing, and cloud-native architectures, lab and validation teams face cognitive overload driven by fragmented tooling and complex failure scenarios," said Anil Kollipara, Vice President of Product Management at Spirent. "Luma addresses this by automating the most time-consuming parts of test analysis, such as correlating KPIs, logs, and PCAPs, and guiding users toward a root cause within the tools they already trust for critical lab and validation environments."

The launch of Luma for Landslide marks the first phase of a comprehensive agentic AI rollout across Spirent’s testing, assurance, and automation solutions. The strategic initiative is part of Spirent’s commitment to applying practical, domain-trained AI to help customers navigate the network lifecycle with greater speed and accuracy. By embedding intelligence directly into existing workflows, Luma will enable teams to move from raw data to actionable insights without the need for separate tools or disruptive processes.

Key benefits of the Luma AI agent include:

  • Domain-Trained Intelligence: Trained on Spirent’s vast 3GPP and network domain knowledge, Luma understands the specific nuances of CSP-grade testing, specifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Direct Workflow Integration: Luma is embedded directly into Landslide, enabling it to operate inside secure lab environments and allow teams to gain insights for root cause analysis without changing existing tools or processes.
  • Accelerated Troubleshooting: By simplifying the interpretation of logs and KPIs, Luma helps teams move from raw test data to actionable insights in a fraction of the time.
  • Scaling Expertise: Through a unified conversational interface, Luma enables a broader range of users to understand complex test workflows, reducing the dependency on a small pool of specialized experts.

Luma for Landslide will be followed by Luma integrations across Spirent’s VisionWorks service assurance and Velocity test and lab automation solutions, enabling use-case-driven AI to streamline and further automate next-generation testing and network operations. By embedding AI into the testing and assurance process, Luma will enable a broader range of users to understand workflows, interpret specifications and compliance requirements, accelerate root cause analysis, and make sense of network performance with greater confidence.

Spirent will showcase Luma and its next-generation testing and assurance portfolio on the Keysight Technologies booth (Hall 5, #5F41) at MWC Barcelona, Spain, March 2-5, 2026. For more information about Luma AI and Spirent’s core network testing solutions, visit spirent.com/landslide.
