KROGER PARTNERING WITH THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY (LLS) TO HELP KIDS WITH BLOOD CANCER
Kroger (KR) has partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) for a fundraising campaign in North Texas and Louisiana to support The Dare to Dream Project. The initiative runs from May 14 to June 3, 2025 across 110 Kroger stores, allowing customers to donate at checkout. The project aims to develop safer, less toxic treatments for pediatric blood cancer patients and provide free support resources for families.
Currently, only 5% of cancer drugs are approved for first-time use in children, and 80% of childhood cancer survivors develop chronic health issues from treatment. LLS has launched significant initiatives including the first pediatric AML Data Commons platform and the LLS PedAL Master Clinical Trial, which matches patients to treatments based on their cancer's unique tumor biology.
