Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

A credit facility is a flexible loan arrangement that allows a borrower to access funds up to a set limit whenever needed, similar to a company having an overdraft option on a bank account. It matters to investors because it indicates how easily a business can secure cash when required, affecting its ability to manage expenses, invest, or respond to financial challenges.

HONG KONG, Nov. 04, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Magic Empire Global Limited ("MEGL" or the "Company", Nasdaq: MEGL) today announced that it has secured a dedicated credit facility of US$100 million (the "Facility") from Anyu International Limited ("AIL") to fund its cross-border timber supply chain trading business. The Facility provides dedicated, medium-term capital support for the Company's timber procurement and cross-border trade settlement, and marks another concrete step in MEGL's strategic transformation into commodity trade and the timber industrial supply chain.

Dedicated capital for the timber trading chain

The Facility is dedicated exclusively to MEGL's cross-border timber supply chain trading business, covering the procurement, import, warehousing, logistics, insurance and related trade settlement of timber products such as logs, sawn timber, wood chips and panels. With a five-year term subject to annual review, the Facility is intended to give the Company a stable, dedicated funding source that matches the long cycle of timber procurement, shipment and settlement, reducing reliance on short-term or project-by-project financing and improving capital turnover efficiency across the trade chain.

Synergy with the SIN HOPEWAY strategic cooperation

The Facility is expected to work in tandem with the previously announced five-year timber strategic cooperation framework with SIN HOPEWAY PTE. LTD. ("SIN HOPEWAY"), which contemplates an aggregate transaction value of up to US$500 million. Under that cooperation, MEGL is building upstream timber sourcing arrangements; the Facility is designed to fund those procurement activities and to ensure stable capital turnover for procurement, shipment and settlement within the cross-border trade chain. Together, the two arrangements are intended to form an integrated "sourcing + funding" structure, enabling the Company to convert upstream supply resources into executed trade flows and to support larger-scale, more predictable timber transactions.

Advancing the strategic transformation into commodity trade

Through its strategic transformation, MEGL has expanded into commodity trade and the timber industrial supply chain, and has built a business system that integrates physical trade with supply chain services. The Facility strengthens the capital foundation of the timber trading business and supports the Company's continued development in European and American timber markets, drawing on the cross-border commodity trade resources and operational experience of its new shareholder team. The Company believes the Facility will enhance its ability to pursue scaled growth in its commodity trading business and to deepen its presence across the timber supply chain.

About the Facility

The Facility is a dedicated facility available for five years from the date of the facility letter, subject to annual review. Drawdowns are subject to conditions customary for facilities of this nature, including trade authenticity and documentation requirements, timber-specific compliance verification, and margin, security and risk mitigation arrangements, as well as AIL's (or the confirming financier's) determination that such conditions are satisfied. The undrawn portion of the Facility is suspended pending AIL's written confirmation of each annual review outcome. Further details are set out in the facility letter.
