iban financial
An IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is a standardized code that uniquely identifies a specific bank account for cross-border payments, combining a country code, check digits and the local account number. For investors it acts like a precise mailing address for money: using the correct IBAN helps ensure dividends, wire transfers and settlement payments reach the right account quickly, reducing delays, fees and the risk of lost or misdirected funds.
sepa payments financial
SEPA payments are bank transfers and direct debits that follow the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) rules, enabling euro-denominated electronic payments across participating European countries using a common set of standards and formats. They make cross-border euro transfers work like domestic transfers by standardizing account identifiers (IBAN), messaging formats, timing rules and legal frameworks; they apply only to payments in euros and to banks or payment providers within the SEPA zone.
