finance income financial
Finance income is the money a company earns from its financial activities rather than from selling products or services, such as interest received on loans and deposits, dividends from investments, gains on selling bonds or stocks, and foreign exchange gains. For investors, it shows how well a company’s cash, short-term investments, or lending generates return—like the interest on a savings account—affecting overall profitability and reported net income.
valuation gains financial
Valuation gains are increases in the recorded value of an asset or investment when its market price, appraisal, or accounting revaluation rises, similar to a house becoming worth more on paper. They matter to investors because they change a company’s or portfolio’s net worth, affect financial ratios and reported profit (often as unrealized gains), and influence how stakeholders view financial health and performance.
