Rhea-AI Sentiment reads the wording of the document, how positive or negative its language is on a 1 to 5 scale. The balance of points shown with the takes weighs what the document actually discloses, so the two can disagree, for example when a trial that missed its main goal is described in upbeat language.

Order pairs unmanned systems with a first-year XOS software update package

This order is in addition to the approximately $84 million AI Robotics backlog reported as of September 30, 2026.

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- XTEND AI Robotics, Inc. (NYSE: XTND) (“XTEND” or the “Company”), a leader in software systems and Physical AI, today announced that its Asia-Pacific subsidiary, Performance Rotors Pte Ltd, has received a purchase order valued at approximately $8.3 million from a defense customer in the region. The order covers multiple unmanned aerial systems, with associated ground control stations and accessories, and includes a first-year software update package for every system. The order reflects XTEND’s operating model as a multinational company with subsidiaries around the world, which works to expand its activity across international markets. This order was not included in the approximately $84 million AI Robotics segment backlog as of September 30, 2026, previously reported by the Company.

As part of the order, the customer has purchased a software update package for the systems, covering updates delivered through XTEND’s XOS operating system. For the first year, XTEND commits to updating the systems through XOS. The package includes ongoing software updates that may incorporate new intelligent capabilities, advanced analytics and AI-driven enhancements designed to expand the systems’ operational capabilities. Through XOS, these enhancements are designed to enable integration with additional applications, improve system performance and introduce advanced autonomous capabilities, with the goal of making the systems smarter, more capable and more effective over time.

The systems are compact, collision-tolerant unmanned aerial platforms designed for rapid deployment in complex urban environments. They are supplied with integrated imaging and encrypted communications, and are manufactured at Performance Rotors’ production facilities, part of XTEND’s regional XFAB manufacturing network.

“The software update package in this order reflects the model we believe in: systems that keep getting better after delivery, not hardware alone. We believe this is where the defense market is heading, and we are glad to support it with the systems and the software behind them,” said Aviv Shapira, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of XTEND AI Robotics.

Key Terms

unmanned aerial systems technical
Unmanned aerial systems are complete drone setups: the aircraft itself plus the remote control, sensors, communications links and support equipment that let it fly without a person on board. Think of it as a flying robot plus its command center and toolbox. Investors watch these systems because they open new commercial and defense markets, carry revenue and regulatory risks, and can change how goods, data and services are delivered.
ground control stations technical
Ground control stations are facilities and systems on Earth that monitor, communicate with, and send commands to satellites, spacecraft, drones or rockets, acting like a combination of an air-traffic control tower and a data center for space and unmanned vehicles. For investors, they are core operational infrastructure that enable services, recurring contracts, regulatory compliance and geographic reach, and their capabilities, reliability and security can directly affect revenue and risk.
encrypted communications technical
Encrypted communications are messages or data that have been scrambled so only authorized parties can read them, like putting a letter in a locked box that only the recipient can open. For investors, encryption matters because it protects sensitive company information, customer data and trade secrets from theft or leaks, affects regulatory compliance and legal risk, and can influence a company’s reputation, costs and competitive position.
