How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

Filing Explained

Third-quarter adjusted free cash flow after dividends was $9,044 thousand, compared with $76,922 thousand in the same quarter of 2025.

At September 30, 2026, Archrock had $113.2 million remaining under its share-repurchase program, but repurchased no shares during the third quarter.

This was available program capacity, not a completed buyback; the filing reports no share reduction from repurchases during the quarter.

Archrock defines adjusted free cash flow as net cash provided by operating activities plus net cash used in investing activities; its after-dividend measure also subtracts dividends paid.

Adjusted EBITDA financial
"Adjusted EBITDA for the third quarter of 2026"
Adjusted EBITDA is a way companies measure how much money they make from their core operations, like running a business, by removing certain costs or income that aren’t part of regular business activities. It helps investors see how well a company is doing without distractions from unusual expenses or gains, making it easier to compare companies or track performance over time.
Adjusted net income financial
"Adjusted net income, a non-GAAP measure"
Adjusted net income is a company's reported profit after removing unusual, one-time, or non-operational items so the number reflects the business’s regular earning power. Investors use it like a cleaned-up scorecard — similar to judging a player’s season performance without a few fluke games — to compare companies or assess trends without being misled by rare gains or losses that won’t affect future cash flow.
Adjusted free cash flow financial
"Adjusted free cash flow, a non-GAAP measure"
Adjusted free cash flow is the amount of money a company generates from its operations after accounting for essential expenses and investments, like maintaining or upgrading equipment. It shows how much cash is truly available to grow the business, pay debts, or return to shareholders, helping investors see the company's financial health more clearly.
Cash available for dividend coverage financial
"Cash available for dividend coverage in the third quarter of 2026"
Leverage ratio financial
"Our leverage ratio was 2.5x as of September 30, 2026"
Leverage ratio measures how much a company relies on borrowed money compared with its own funds or assets, typically expressed as debt relative to equity or total assets. Like a homeowner with a mortgage, higher leverage can amplify returns when business is strong but also raises the chance of big losses or default if revenue falls, so investors use it to judge financial risk and resilience.
Horsepower utilization technical
"Horsepower utilization spot (at period end)"

Management Commentary and Outlook

“The continued strength and profitability of our business reflect consistent customer demand and a structurally tight compression market,” said Brad Childers, Archrock’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We achieved our strongest bookings quarter since the second quarter of 2023, including strong bookings in the Permian Basin. Rising gas-to-oil ratios and additional takeaway capacity in the basin are supporting sustained compression requirements. While customer maintenance deferrals affected aftermarket activity and higher lube oil prices created near-term cost pressure, we are actively mitigating these headwinds through cost discipline and operating efficiencies. The underlying demand fundamentals remain strong, supporting our confidence in the long-term outlook.

“We remain focused on executing our disciplined growth program, deploying horsepower to meet customer demand and delivering the operational reliability our customers expect. With durable natural gas demand supported by long-term growth in LNG exports and power generation, a strong balance sheet and a disciplined, returns-based approach to capital deployment, Archrock is well positioned to invest alongside our customers at attractive returns, generate durable free cash flow and deliver consistent shareholder returns,” concluded Childers.

Management uses these non-GAAP measures as supplemental measures to review current period operating performance, comparability measures and performance measures for period-to-period comparisons.
(2)Defined as cash available for dividend divided by dividends declared for the period.
(3)Defined as idle and operating horsepower and includes new compressor units completed by a third-party manufacturer that have been delivered to us.
(4)Defined as horsepower that is operating under contract and horsepower that is idle but under contract and generating revenue such as standby revenue.
(5)Defined as total operating horsepower divided by total available horsepower at period end.

(1)Basic and diluted earnings per common share is computed using the two-class method to determine the net income per share for each class of common stock and participating security (restricted stock and stock-settled restricted stock units that have non-forfeitable rights to receive dividends or dividend equivalents) according to dividends declared and participation rights in undistributed earnings. Accordingly, we have excluded net income attributable to participating securities from our calculation of basic and diluted earnings per common share.

(1) Management believes adjusted gross margin, adjusted EBITDA, adjusted gross margin percentage, adjusted free cash flow and adjusted free cash flow after dividend provide useful information to investors because these non-GAAP measures, when viewed with our GAAP results and accompanying reconciliations, provide a more complete understanding of our performance than GAAP results alone. Management uses these non-GAAP measures as supplemental measures to review current period operating performance, comparability measures and performance measures for period-to-period comparisons.
(2) Defined as idle and operating horsepower and includes new compressor units completed by a third-party manufacturer that have been delivered to us.
(3) Defined as horsepower that is operating under contract and horsepower that is idle but under contract and generating revenue such as standby revenue.
(4) Defined as total operating horsepower divided by total available horsepower at period end (spot) or over time (average).
(5) Defined as cash available for dividend divided by dividends declared for the period.

(1) Represents an estimated tax effect of restructuring charges, transaction-related costs and debt extinguishment gain based on the federal statutory tax rate of 21%.

(1)Management believes adjusted EBITDA provides useful information to investors because this non-GAAP measure, when viewed with our GAAP results and accompanying reconciliations, provides a more complete understanding of our performance than GAAP results alone. Management uses this non-GAAP measure as a supplemental measure to review current period operating performance, comparability measure and performance measure for period-to-period comparisons.
(2)Management uses cash available for dividend as a supplemental performance measure to compute the coverage ratio of estimated cash flows to planned dividends.

(1) 2026 annual guidance for net income includes $10.1 million of long-lived and other asset impairment as of June 30, 2026, but does not include the impact of any future long-lived and other asset impairment because due to its nature, it cannot be accurately forecasted. Long-lived and other asset impairment does not impact Adjusted EBITDA or cash available for dividend; however, it is a reconciling item between these measures and net income. Long-lived and other asset impairment for the years 2025 and 2024 was $18.3 million and $10.7 million, respectively.
(2) Reflects an estimate of expenses to be incurred related to the Total Operations and Production Services, LLC and NGCS acquisitions.
(3) Management believes adjusted EBITDA provides useful information to investors because this non-GAAP measure, when viewed with our GAAP results and accompanying reconciliations, provides a more complete understanding of our performance than GAAP results alone. Management uses this non-GAAP measure as a supplemental measure to review current period operating performance, comparability measure and performance measure for period-to-period comparisons.
