normal course issuer bid financial
"update on purchases of its common shares under its previously disclosed normal course issuer bid"
A Normal Course Issuer Bid is when a company buys back its own shares from the stock market over time. This usually shows that the company believes its stock is undervalued and wants to support its price, which can be important for investors to watch.
automatic purchase plan financial
"including through block purchases and through its automatic purchase plan"
An automatic purchase plan is a program that automatically uses money from your account at regular intervals to buy shares of a stock or mutual fund. It works like a subscription that turns spare cash into investments without you having to place each trade, which can smooth out the price you pay over time and reduce the risk of mistiming the market — useful for building a position steadily and lowering emotional decision-making.
block purchases financial
"including through block purchases and through its automatic purchase plan"
A block purchase is a large, privately negotiated trade of shares or bonds executed between institutions or big investors outside the regular public market. Think of it like buying a pallet of goods at once instead of individual items; it lets buyers and sellers move big positions with less public price disruption, but it can still signal shifting ownership and affect market liquidity and investor perceptions of demand for the security.
forward-looking statements regulatory
"Certain information contained in this press release may constitute forward-looking statements"
Forward-looking statements are predictions or plans that companies share about what they expect to happen in the future, like estimating sales or profits. They matter because they help investors understand a company's outlook, but since they are based on guesses and assumptions, they can sometimes be wrong.
capital allocation strategy financial
"The NCIB is viewed by ATS management as one component of an overall capital allocation strategy"
A capital allocation strategy is a plan for deciding how a company distributes its financial resources among various needs, such as investing in growth, paying dividends, or reducing debt. For investors, it signals how effectively a company manages its money to create value and sustain long-term success, much like a person deciding how to divide their budget for savings, expenses, and investments.

ATS also provided an update on purchases of its common shares under its previously disclosed normal course issuer bid (“NCIB”). ATS believes that there are times when the market price of its common shares may not reflect their underlying value and that the purchase of common shares by ATS will both provide liquidity to existing shareholders and benefit remaining shareholders. Through August, ATS purchased 1,119,413 shares at an average price of $27.97 per share, including the 146,085 shares it had previously disclosed. As previously disclosed, ATS may make purchases under its NCIB through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange and/or alternative Canadian trading systems, including through block purchases and through its automatic purchase plan, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements during the twelve-month period commencing on December 22, 2025, and ending on or before December 21, 2026. The price ATS will pay for any such shares will be the market price at the time of acquisition. Under its NCIB, ATS has the ability to purchase for cancellation up to a maximum of 8,225,621 common shares of the Company. ATS expects to remain active under its NCIB. The NCIB is viewed by ATS management as one component of an overall capital allocation strategy and complementary to its acquisition growth plans.
