Insights

Key shareholder keeps negotiating stake sale after exclusivity lapses.

Braskem discloses that Novonor, a major shareholder in judicial reorganization, is still in discussions with Petroquímica Verde Fundo de Investimentos about divesting its stake. The prior 90-day exclusivity tied to a May 23, 2025 proposal has ended, yet talks continue, indicating ongoing interest but no agreed terms.

For investors, the potential sale of Novonor’s stake could eventually affect Braskem’s ownership structure and possibly governance, depending on who becomes the new holder of that position. However, the disclosure does not describe transaction size, pricing, or likelihood of completion, only that discussions remain active.

The company notes it will keep the market informed of relevant developments, so future communications about any concrete agreement, conditions, or regulatory steps would clarify how this prospective divestment might reshape Braskem’s shareholder base.
