Net Asset Value financial
"Net Asset Value Calculation and Valuation Guidelines"
Net asset value is the total value of an investment fund's assets minus any liabilities, divided by the number of shares or units outstanding. It represents the per-share worth of the fund, similar to how the value of a house is determined by its total worth after debts are subtracted. Investors use it to gauge the true value of their holdings and to compare different investment options.
distribution reinvestment plan financial
"shares pursuant to our distribution reinvestment plan"
An automatic program that uses cash distributions—such as dividends or other payouts—from a stock or fund to buy additional shares of the same security instead of handing out cash to the investor. Think of it like using store credit you’d otherwise pocket to buy more items: it makes your holding grow over time without you having to manually reinvest, which can compound returns, reduce transaction costs and change the timing of taxable income.
reverse inquiry transaction financial
"completed a reverse inquiry transaction"
fair market value purchase option financial
"exercised its fair market value purchase option"
A fair market value purchase option is a contractual right, often found in leases or purchase agreements, that lets the holder buy the leased asset at its fair market value when the option is exercised. The purchase price is not pre-set; it is the asset’s estimated price in an open market between willing but unrelated parties at the time of exercise, typically established by appraisal, agreed valuation method, or an independent third‑party valuation; disputes can be resolved by the contract’s valuation procedures. This differs from a fixed-price or bargain purchase option because the amount paid will reflect current market conditions rather than a predetermined sum.
