"repaid in full its unsecured term loan"
An unsecured term loan is a fixed-schedule loan that a borrower must repay over a set period but does not pledge specific assets as collateral. Think of it like lending money to someone on their promise rather than holding their car keys as backup. Investors care because these loans carry higher risk and therefore higher interest, have lower priority if the borrower fails, and affect a company’s cash flow and ability to raise future financing.
accrued interest financial
"remaining principal and accrued interest"
Accrued interest is the amount of interest that has built up on a loan, bond, or similar investment since the last payment date but has not yet been paid. For investors this matters because when you buy or sell a fixed‑income security between payment dates you compensate the other party for that earned interest—think of it like buying a house mid‑month and reimbursing the seller for days of heating already used—so it affects the actual cash you pay, the yield you receive, and short‑term returns.
monthly amortization payment financial
"first monthly amortization payment"
secured term loan financial
"focus our loan servicing efforts on our secured term loan"
A secured term loan is a bank or investor loan with a set repayment schedule and interest, backed by specific company assets that the lender can claim if payments stop—think of it like a mortgage on a business asset. It matters to investors because it sits higher in the company’s payment order than equity, reducing lender risk but adding fixed cash obligations that affect free cash flow, leverage and the likelihood of losses for shareholders if the company struggles.
