How this balance works

Rhea-AI gives every point it takes from this document a weight. Minor counts 1, Moderate 3 and Major 9, so one Major point outweighs several Minor ones. The bar adds up the weights on each side, and when neither side holds more than 65% of the total the balance reads Mixed.

It reads the document as published, with the same rules for every company, and it does not look at what the market expected or at how the stock traded, so a point can be objectively good on a day the stock falls.

Rhea-AI Sentiment measures something else, the tone of the wording.

The release says equity awards tied to $30, $40 and $50 share-price hurdles also have service conditions; as of September 25, 2026, the $30 hurdle was met, but the awards remained unvested and were included in third-quarter diluted shares, affecting the diluted-EPS share count.

Days sales outstanding (DSO) measures the average number of days a company takes to collect payment after making a sale. It matters to investors because it shows how quickly cash comes in: shorter DSO is like being paid promptly after delivering work, supporting smoother cash flow and lower credit risk, while longer DSO can signal slow collections, potential liquidity stress, or weaker payment terms compared with peers.

"Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measures"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.

The Hackett Group Announces Third Quarter 2026 Results

MIAMI – November 3, 2026 – The Hackett Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: HCKT), an ROI led, AI enabled enterprise transformation company that helps organizations achieve and sustain AI World Class performance, today announced its financial results for the third quarter, which ended on September 25, 2026.

“We continue to build momentum as the market increasingly recognizes that meaningful value and ROI from AI transformation requires more than technology. It requires deep transformation expertise and IP to reimagine critical processes, along with AI benchmarks to accurately quantify the value opportunity. These capabilities are closely aligned with Hackett’s globally recognized transformation expertise and proprietary benchmarking and process intelligence,” stated Ted A. Fernandez, Chairman & CEO of The Hackett Group, Inc. “At the same time, the expanding use of our AI platforms, XT and AIX, across our primary enterprise transformation and software implementation offerings, is beginning to improve sales and delivery productivity. As these benefits scale across our client base, we expect them to drive increasing operating leverage and margin expansion, strengthening our confidence in our growth and profitability prospects for 2027. We have just begun to realize the benefits from our AI transition strategy.”

Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measures

The Company provides adjusted earnings results (which excludes non-cash stock based compensation expense, stock price award program compensation expense, acquisition-related cash and non-cash stock based compensation expense, amortization expense, acquisition related costs and any one-time costs and includes a GAAP tax rate) as a complement to results provided in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). These non-GAAP results are provided to enhance the users' overall understanding of the Company's current financial performance and its prospects for the future. The Company believes the non-GAAP results provide useful information to both management and investors and by excluding certain expenses that it believes are not indicative of its core operating results. The non-GAAP measures are included to provide investors and management with an alternative method for assessing operating results in a manner that is focused on the performance of its ongoing primary operations and to provide a consistent basis for comparison between quarters. Further, these non-GAAP results are one of the primary indicators management uses for planning and forecasting. The presentation of this additional non-GAAP information should be considered in addition to, and not as a substitute for or superior to, any results prepared in accordance with GAAP. See the reconciliation of actual results titled "Reconciliation of GAAP to Non-GAAP Measures" in the accompanying tables.

The Company believes that the presentation of non-GAAP financial information on a forward-looking basis, including the guidance contained in this release, provides important supplemental information to management and investors regarding its anticipated results of operations. The Company is unable to provide a reconciliation of GAAP measures to corresponding forward-looking non-GAAP measures without unreasonable effort due to the high variability and low visibility of most of the items that have been excluded from these non-GAAP measures. For example, non-cash stock-based compensation expense is impacted by the Company's future

hiring needs, the type and volume of equity awards necessary for such future hiring, and the price at which the Company's stock will trade in those future periods. In addition, the provision or benefit for income taxes is impacted by non-recurring income tax adjustments, valuation allowance on deferred tax assets, and the income tax effect of non-GAAP exclusions. The effects of these reconciling items may be significant, as the items that are being excluded are difficult to predict.

(1) The Company provides adjusted earnings results (which excludes non-cash stock based compensation expense, stock price award program compensation expense, acquisition-related cash and non-cash stock based compensation expense, amortization expense, acquisition related costs and any one-time costs and includes a GAAP tax rate) as a complement to results provided in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

(2) Non-cash stock based compensation expense is accounted for under Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards Codification Topic 718, Compensation-Stock Compensation. The Company excludes non-cash stock based compensation expense and the related tax effects for the purposes of adjusted net income and adjusted diluted earnings per share. The Company believes that non-GAAP measures of profitability, which exclude non-cash stock based compensation expense, are widely used by investors.

(3) The stock price award program compensation expense relates to equity awards that were granted with certain market share price hurdles and service conditions to meet before they are vested. The market price hurdles include twenty consecutive trading days of equal to or greater than $30, $40 and $50 per share price. As of September 25, 2026, the first market condition had been met, and although the shares have not vested they are included in the Company's dilutive shares outstanding for the quarter ended September 25, 2026. As of September 25, 2026, the second and third market conditions had not been met and as such the shares have not vested and are not included in the Company's basic or dilutive shares outstanding. Non-cash compensation expense of $1.4 million and $4.2 million was recorded in the third quarter and first nine months of 2026, respectively.

(4) The Company incurs cash and non-cash stock based compensation expense for acquisition related consideration that is recognized over time under GAAP. The Company believes excluding these amounts more consistently presents its ongoing results of operations because they are related to acquisitions and not due to normal operating activities. The acquisition-related non-cash stock based compensation expense is also accounted for under Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards Codification Topic 718, Compensation-Stock Compensation.

(5) The adjustment for the income tax expense is based on the accounting treatment and income tax rate for the jurisdiction of each item. The impact of all of the non-cash stock based compensation expense was expense of $1.3 million and $2.8 million and expense of $1.5 million and $6.6 million in the third quarter and first nine months of 2026 and 2025, respectively. The impact of acquisition related cash compensation reversal was a benefit of $16 thousand in the first nine months of 2026 and a benefit of $141 thousand and expense of $19 thousand in the third quarter and first nine months of 2025, respectively. The impact of the acquisition related costs including amortization was $77 thousand and $238 thousand and $81 thousand and $179 thousand in the third quarter and first nine months of 2026 and 2025, respectively. The impact of the restructuring cost was $0.4 million and $1.0 million in the third quarter and first nine months of 2026 and $0.8 million in both the third quarter and first nine months in 2025, respectively.
